  1. I don't think anybody will come near you. Maybe for third party, you can hope.... As for your Dad insuring it in his name, and you a driver, be aware that if it can be proven that you are the primary driver, you may not be covered. ie: Fraud. Insurance companies didn't get to be rich by being stupid.....
  2. Only being a relative new comer to 30 series, I believe so. One of the other boys would be able to give you a definite answer. This set-up belongs on my 37 replica. The new shell came with the PBR monster and this one is going onto that car. Sadly, no spares at this time. I've got a PBR one going cheap though... :)
  3. Are you talking about the nut that hold the strut top to the shaft?
  4. Trev's kind of got it. Also given the fact that I've run this thing for years without one, I kind of like the feel without it. 13/16 is going to take a bit of effort though. I do know a guy who had a VH44 connected to his hydraulic handbrake. Tell me that wasn't a giggle. :P
  5. I know it's a bit late, but here goes. Gd Gallant master cylinder. ATM KE55 front, TA22 rear. This will be changing as I value my life. Pedal box and x-member came form Japan via Import Monster, when the $AU was good and the yen was crap. Now the other way around. Tips? Take up fishing. :P
  6. Update. The brake master cylinder has been giving me grief. I had RWD 323 master in there that looked the goods until I realized it had two front brake ports, with one exitting vertically downwards, right where the intake for throat 4 on the Weber goes. Which was a real pisser, as I'd already pretty much made the new brake lines to suit. Meteor master, which fits normal 20's, is no good as I have moved the master from its original position, outboard towards the strut tower. Meteor MC's port to the right. ie: directly into the strut tower. Scrub that one, too. Of to Kelly's I went, and procured a GD Gallant 13/16 jobbie. The GD master has a banjo fitting with a double outlet for the front brakes. The guys at BHSS sorted me with a single outlet. Good to go. Piccies below, it's a snug fit, but I have good clearances for everything. :P
  7. You'll be chasing something that looks like this then. I have the same problems with cars with 2TGs.
  8. The only problem is they stopped grinding the 169x a couple of years ago. What Wade call the 169 now is not the same. It was 30/70 with about .400 lift IIRC. Had one in the car for a while and was a good lumpstick. I think Xany may have my old one.........
  9. Have you got the big ugly PBR thing on it? The one with the rectangular lid?
  10. Now there's two blokes you'd trust to sell you a used car!! :P
  11. Unfortunately I think it's a bit of a case of not exactly knowing what you're in for when you answered the question. All I can think of is Hitch Hikers Guide, and the answer 42. It sounds like they gave you what you asked for, a big road cam. Unfortunately you didn't quite understand what this means in the big picture. to give you an idea, it's possibly a touch more aggressive as the cam I had in my $3000 3K rally motor. That price doesn't include carburation. (I haven't stuck the cam specs through the calculator, so that's a rough guess......) To get the most out of it, You'd really be wanting to hit the list Styler put up pretty hard. I ran a 4.5 diff, and small tyres as well. It was also not a friendly car around town. I personally think that you may need to pull that one out, sit it on the shelf for now, and stick a milder grind in. That way you can develop the engine further, without pushing the boundries to try and make it work with the cam. A wise old man told me that alot of people "over cam" their engines. I think this may be a good example. In short, IMHO, swallow your pride and pull it out.
  12. I'm the scrawny guy on the left. The guy on the right is the owner of the piece of Australian rallying history that I'm leaning against. I normally don't do photos, so thats about as good as it's going to get.
  13. Nokia Navigator FTMFW. I travel a lot, and this thing has not let me down. I occasionally use it as a phone, too. :D

  15. A bloke called Duncan ran a yellow one for years in Vic. Can't say the colour did a lot for me......
  16. I hope so. :bash: I gave the buggers enough last year, I'm not interested in giving them more.
  17. Red 2x's go faster.
  18. It'd be like the baby bonus in that it's a government supplied payment and not subject to tax. Carers payment is similar. To be honest, I'd prefer not to be getting anything at all, and for the eleventy squillion dollars to be used elsewhere.......
  19. Into the house. Going into financial lock down ATM, as I can see work drying up as we speak.
  20. I think you're swatting a fly with an axe. With weight and balance issues + extra Hp, I would actually stand-up and say that it'll be slower than the 4K for dirt applications. I've seen it before, more than once.
  21. Think of it as re-distributing the photos elsewhere........
  22. Wow, I don't recall knowing about this. Or maybe I did?? Congrats on the new Doug-lette. :bash: Cmon Trev, all the girls will want to know the basics: Weight, digital accounting (fingers and toes), how many hours Mrs Doug REALLLLY hated Doug for etc.
  23. Tried that but there was nobody left to play with. Play nicely. This thread is already under discussion in a place none of you can see, and it's life is starting to look very limited. Luke said: Not far off the mark. What is the purpose of this forum? I'm fairly certian that it's not to shit can one another, and behave like 10 year olds (yes, before somebody points it out, I'm as guilty as anyone about ten pages back.....). No I don't care who started it. No I don't care who contributed to it. No I don't care what they said. Ask not what the forum can do for you, ask what you can do for the forum. Peace, Love and Mung Beans, Dwarf
  24. Consult your local transport authority. It'll be a far more reliable answer than an internet forum provided answer.
  25. No, the key word "is". Don't you guys have enough threads of your own to play (spam) with? Further testosterone induced posting will be removed, and castrations given. I think it's a Moderator option...... *edit* Thread cleaned.
