  1. agreed, where did you get the flares from?
  2. nice work mate, looks like your doing the conversion properly with all the supporting gear. Only thing i see breaking would be your diff, got any plans to upgrade? Another rota rolla is never a bad thing
  3. i use mother billet metal polish, found it to be the best. Pity its SOO expensive
  4. IMO i think the offset looks ridiculus and i have no idea howd you get away with driving it like that. You would be pulled over straight away over here and defected. Clearly need flares, some decent size tyres would help it handle better to....
  5. oldskool tuffness, i love it!
  6. very entertaining 10 mins, quality driving!!!
  7. car looks amazing mate, you should be very proud of it. can't wait to see it when its finished
  8. Try wide grip chin ups, which is essentially the same movement. They'll be harder but are much better, i which to them from lap pull down about 3 months ago and havnt looked back!
  9. car looks good, look forward to seeing it in person
  10. rolling in style now hey? nice!!! doesnt take much to get them looking pretty good, let me know if you want some help
  11. not likely! id be using WAY more than $5 worth of rear tyres pre drive car seems to tramp a fair bit more now, that was with the WORN tyres on the back. but ive just put on some fresh 205's on the back (which fill out the guards very nicely i might add) and havnt had a chance to test them out yet. EXACTLY! its a street car and a sleeper so no tubs at this stage Ive got some semi-slicks for the rear, i just need to find some more rims to put them on
  12. yeh no worries, gonna have to start charging a petrol fee its already been stepped up a notch with the new set-up, might have the boost turned up by then :y:
  13. sorry to hear Ryan, important thing is your ok. The car can wait till your better
  14. at the next cruise, or we can go get some decent shots of the car sometime soon. Cooler weather=better you'll have to wait till a few others get there first spin before i start offering seconds haha
  15. x2 time for wheelie bars i think, after you get some more wheels up footage/pics lol
  16. lol ive been trying but the 195's on the rear just don't have the grip Drove the car today in the much cooler weather (mid 20's) and the car feels even better now, prob another 10rwkw id say. I'm keen to chuck it back on the dyno when its cooler. 30+ deg is def too hot for this car, for the driver and the car haha
  17. after seeing your 20 i can't wait to see how this car turns out! I say leave the tyres/height, they fill the guards nicely, looks good and isnt too low. Smaller tyre=lower height-more rear camber and more unwanted attention
  18. thought it might be time to update this.... Name: Ryan Car:1972 KE20 Motor & Driveline: S5 13BT motor/gearbox, T04E turbo, 60mm external gate with 2 inch screamer pipe, FMIC, 3 inch dump pipe into 2.5 inch exhaust, MTX8, 4xbosche coils, 800cc injectors, V8 torana radiator, shortened hilux diff, 3 inch tailshaft, 5 puck clutch Suspension & Brakes: custom rear leafs with addition leaf and half rebound leaf, custom 6kg front springs. Pedders shocks. hilux brakes on the rear, KE70 front brakes and calipers Wheels & Tyres: 15x6 chasers on the front with 165/50's, soon to be 195/50's. 14x7 widened steelies rear, tyres don't last long on the rear so always changing Interior: retrimmed black with sports steering wheel and addition gauges. 4 point harnesses Body: stock painted in white, in need of a respray Other: 211rwkw@10psi (safe tune on mid/high 30 deg day) if i was to wirte the whole list of mods i would be here all day typing :(
  19. 211rwkw@10psi mid 30 deg day with no temp adjust on the dyno, so still a bit more in it at that boost level
  20. maybe attending
  21. PICS OR BAN!
  22. my hilux converison came in at just under $2g which included buying the diff (already shortended), getting new mounts, new tailshaft. Best upgrade i ever did after fitting the 13BT I still run a locker with the hilux diff, i don't like the LSD that comes with them (they open wheel sometimes) and an aftermarket one is $$$ I havnt had any problems with my locker and don't see me changing to an LSD anytime soon. I love my locker If i was you i would be checking the wreckers, some hilux models came out with a diff very very close to a KE55 diff width. That way only the mounts and tailshsft need to be done which will keep the cost down
  23. sweetest $300 car ive seen
  24. shed looking alot cleaner mate, nice work. New addition to the car collection is never a bad thing haha
  25. attending pending cars completion
