just had a subaru forester up at full height, had about 1m to the roof, guessing a van would be 500mm higher in the body so you could possibly drop the roof by 500mm but no more or you'll shit yourself everytime it goes up, don't forget the higher it is the cooler it is

and don,t forget clear roof panels, makes so much difference

Hi If your going to do it do it right, make it so you can get a van /4x4 up you never know, i have 1 in my shed at 3.4m gutter height this is heaps, double thickness and double reo the hoist bay, 7.5m wide gives you heaps for a bench in front and 2 post with overhead gantry so theres no obstructions on the floor for gearbox cranes etc

Why not have somewhere pinned where everone can put down their achievements, stating car and driveline and tyres, no classes, no updating, the only restriction being if someone pulls you up you have to supply a sheet or it gets removed, everyone will soon know who their opposition is and who they have to beat. maybe 1 section for track times the other for 1/4mile ? I think we're getting of topic, someone said that 1/4 mile times mean nothing but if you raced a ke70 20v with 85kw against a ke70 20v turbo with 200kw i know which is going to win, anywhere any track

AE92 with a 20v will probably be fun but not overly quick, by memory a 20v puts out 125kw so about 90 to 95fwkw in a car that ways 1200kg ??? 20v into 890kg ke30 =fun+. 20v turbo in a ke 30 yahoo, its simple math 90kw 1200kg v 200kw 900kg, i'll get arguements everywhere but you can't have enough power

i have put a 5k and 5 speed into a ke17 does anyone know what tail shaft combination i can use. i have the ke17 shaft which is the right length but wrong spline, i have a late ke30 shaft (aussie build) which is to long and the unis are not a match, anyone know which shaft i need (early jap ke30???) thanks for any info
