I got a cheap one off ebay, it was ok on the shaft but the bolt holes didn't line up perfectly. I had to "carefully" drill the holes out a couple of mill to get it to line up with the wheel. Though the wheel was a cheap ebay wheel so it may have been the wheel that was out :lolcry:

NO... the KE10 and KE20 are listed as being the same and I'm sure the KE10 requires a different boss kit to the KE70, ergo the KE70 kit will not fit the KE20. There are KE20 boss kits on ebay. :lolcry:

Metthams did my KE10 for $220 fitted, another $220 for the extractors (KE20 would be almost the same). That was a sports exhaust. Was about 2 years ago, may have gone up. Unless you can find a cheep local second hand unit, this would be your best bet. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $50, if you add ~$70 - $100 for freight from WA it wouldn't be worth it.

We recently had an incident (I think it was in WA) where a group of people were walking home from a funeral. One person was hit by a car (not seriously injured). When officers arrived some of the people were very upset, so they sprayed them with capsicum spray and started using their battons. Someone was filming on their phone so the cops started having a go at him. Now I can't say what happened prior to the filming but it sure looked rediculously heavy handed on the video. Our law now states that if one of the people snapped and faught back against the cops they automatically go to jail... no matter what the circumstances are. That doesn't sound like a proper legal system to me. I don't think there should ever be a valid reason to assault a police officer, but I also disagree that there should be an automatic jail term attached. In some circumstances that is just way too harsh a penalty. As for the impounding of a car that was left with the mechanic.... that should be illegal!! What right do they have (other than their dodgy legal rights :lolcry:)??!! Double the fine and suspension for people caught in cars that don't belong to them, but don't impound the car. What, are you trying to teach the car a lesson??

I think the tyre is too small for a white or red stripe, but I do like the bottom 4 pics look great!

You will need to buy a twin carb manifold. Chuck up a wanted thread on here once you know what carbies your using, or check on ebay. Would be best to source twin carbies with a manifold.

Sounds close to my 5K build, but I used twin down drought Aisan carbies. I found the Datsun push rods were too long. Overcome this by getting some spacers made to go under my rocker assembly (I can't remember thickness but wasn't much). I also decided to ditch the Electronic dizzy, I heard something about the standard 5K elec dizzy being suited to vans not cars... but didn't really do much homework on that, just decided to go as lo-tech as possible :S Good luck, can't wait to get some updates!

I have an 04 Avalon, the 1MZ motor is fantastic! Yes it does have a timing belt but from what I hear it is not very pricey to replace (compared to the $1500+ for a 1UZ timing belt kit... without fitting). I haven't had to do this yet so I don't have an exact cost for you, but I highly recommend the engine!

Can I just add... NO, and if you try and do that to a poor little KE10 we may have to send someone around to sort you out :dance: You should be able to source a late model KE10 grill resonably easy using RC and Ebay.

Love not having daylight savings! :P We finally finished with our trial that no-one wanted last summer... and surprise surprise, everyone voted against it. The whole thing cost WA tens of millions of dollars when any idiot could tell you what the outcome would be. :lol:
