  1. the 5 speed box is slighly weaker. they have smaller lay gears.
  2. yeah it was just a thought. so ae71 mc and slave is the best bet.

  4. i mean that you only use the mcc from the pajero as they are pretty slimline, in a ke you'd need to drill into the firewall do that is a moot point. i understand that you would need a ae71 slave cylinder. can you use two different types of cylinders?
  5. Ok i was at u pull it and i scored myself a mitsushity pajero mc for an upgrade for my brakes. Now while i was looking i notice that the clutch mc in those car is rather compact. is there a reason why these haven't been used in the 4ag conversions? they look like they would take up very little room compared to other ones i've read about using.
  6. sidering using a rotrex blower on my 20v quite a nice power band holds power right up to 9000rpm. but can be limited. can someone please explain 'detonation' and what you need to do to get away from it?
  7. Is the silvertop gonna have enough get up and go in a ke55? this is what i'm worried about. if it'll be fine then i'll get a rotrex charger
  8. no this is to take car of the lack of bottom end power! i would like it to hit boost really early like 2000rpm? would be good if it could maintain boost right through the rev range. but as a stock 20v nothing really happens till about 5000rpm.
  9. If you were in adelaide i could do it for free! :) i powdercoat for a living and a fringe benefit is that i can get anything i want powdercoating for free by doing it myself!

Old seized fragile soft freakin nut and bolts in old cars! they have the insanely annoying tendancy to snap! and then... to top it off easy out aren't that easy at all! the old bolts are sooo soft that the easy outs just dig and dig antil the hit thread and then it wrecks the thread! mmmm new motor... new bolts!
  15. Quick question. how much boost would a stock 4age 20v with a SC take reliably? Also with my brake upgrades... cressida fronts and it'll be ra40 rear. should i upgrade my MC? if yes what is the most slimline upgrade?
  16. Haha funny man. have you seen it done on custom cars? it looks really good. Basically it replaces your interior light. you hook them up to your doors. better truer light. When it done i'll post some pics. will be getting a new lining made up soon... i hope. sooo many things going on at once!
  17. I already have the lifters. I went to u pull it and yanked em off a falcoon. cost me 10 bucks and they are basically brand new!
  18. Everything i primed! my panel, the GF 120y panel and my dash! Primed the back of my panel and then painted it...rust prevention! Guide coat and spots of filler! I did paint the Hand brake cover but i didn't get a chance to clearcoat it. but i'm pretty happy with the smooth finish beat the factory roughness!
  19. Ok update! Didn't get as much done as i wanted. cold and wet weather being the blame! Ok grinding the paint off of my panel First lick of primer Notice that its pretty straight and it was RUST FREE! Primed my KE70 handbrake cover!
  20. nah its the compact series. we have heaps of GTi i could rebuild but i don't really like the feel of them. i was told 800 to buy new from our purchasing ifficer that gun tips etc with good lined and top of line pot with pressure guages etc. as for the compressor.. i've been reading and talking etc. i believe it will be better for me to just hire one when i want to paint my car! thanks for all your imput guys. given me a bit of extra knowledge of compressors!

Ok i have an $800 devilbiss compact spraygun and pressure pot setup! i've been told that a supercheap auto compressor won't give the pot enough pressure. then also two of them linked will presurise the pot but won't atomise the gun and three joined will atomise the gun but not for long. i've been lookin at a lot of different compressors. 3 phase, diesel, petrol, electric. they all have different tank sizes and flow rates. now what do you think i need? can i get away with a smallish tank but a really good flow rate? or do i need a large tank more? i just don't know! i need a compressor to be able to spray a whole car with!
  25. really that sucks! hmm i've used the davie craig thermatic fan switch and it was great! what other brands are there? the davie craig one has an automatic controller unit which i thought was clever.. do other brands have it? also the pump i'm looking at has a 2 year warranty!
