prototype block faces for engine mounts. 10mm but i've decided to go with 5mm as 10mm is really haeavy and stock mounts are made out of 5mm. powdercoated waterpump pulley.

not sure umm i'd say approx 40mm. will measure it tomorrow. then i'll measure the distance from the firewall. just made my wedge sections so i'll have to get my hands on an arch welder to tack em in. will keep updates

yes but you still have the base of the dizzy that has the CAS.

i'm thinking $150 thats sandblasted and powdercoated. these mounts will be for 20v though. can't put them quite as close to the firewall as the 16v. i should be finishig off the design this wkend. then by the end of the week i should have them painted. will post pics of finished product. mine are 5mm steel but i can getup to 10mm.

hey just curious if anyone is considering putting a 4age into a ke as i'm currently making mounts and i may be able to make a few pairs. anyone interested?

Ok quick update! been making my engine mounts. coming along slowly but its getting there. ordered ford laser engine mount rubbers to make install a bit easier. started designing my plenum. will take pics of build. does anyone know how to get ball joints out? powdercoated my water pump pulley and alternator pully black gloss. thats about it. hope to have more to update on monday!

well maybe for another car, look into flake! we have a few variations at work and one is a pearl. you put it in the clear coat. it makes the white turn a bit purply bluey in the sun! on black it makes it change bue at different angles. on greens it looks crappy!. food for thought! Paint job looks really good for DIY. great effort!

ok plenum work was useless. now realised i have to build one from scratch! will keep ya updated. put the engine in the bay today to see how it looks and to start measuring up my engine mounts! looks pretty cool! looking at the wiring is pretty scary!

That second one is for the heater i believe the drivers on is the temp sender to your dash!

yeah measurement would make things easier! also the length of your strut. it looks similar to mine but i got mine off of a falcoon! loving your commitment to the car dude! gonna be a weapon!

Update! Sanding inside door ready for paint! started work on plenum today. cut off and blocked original opening opened and moved the opening to the front! will be getting it welded up sometime this week! and then for powdercoated! hopefully have it done by early next week!

Ok with a ke55 with 4age20v. now if i want to turbo or any sorta forced induction i'll need aftermarket ecu! so my question is what is needed? Fuel only? or something else? can i use it in conjunction with the stock ecu to run ignition? or will i need to buy a full enigne computer? what brands are the decent ones models etc? second hand ok? is it possible to get the stock one remapped? or an addon? ( my mate just installed a mines computer into his 300zx, gives it a more aggressive tune... kinda overrides the stocl ecu!) cheers Luc

Go to supercheap auto and they have a tool that costs 10bucks. makes it easy as i use it to remove my clips!

Hey mate that colour looks unreal!! very similar to my car! mine is a wee bit darker! i'm about to cut back and do bare metal. did you use the soda blast to take the paint off or something else first?

when i changed to my 5speed it seemed that 2nd 3rd and 4th were a bit longer.

mine is a ke55. mine is a 50L but when running it dead empty it took 43L to fill my mate has a ke30 but his has like a 70 litre. must've been an aftermarket lond distance one or something.
