  1. Just noticed this is on ABC1 tonight at 9.30. Or you can catch it on iview later I expect
  2. There was one down in Melbourne at Classic Japan. It was a hot day, and I was struck by how cramped and hot the cockpit would have been. And cockpit is much more appropriate in this case than interior
  3. In the past when I ran a catch can on my 2T, I used to get the same sort of stuff, along with a gradual build up of water.
  4. All K 's are common across model range, and 3K's are common across the model range.
  5. I'm sure the rebuild kits are common to single carbs but will check it on the parts book when I get home. It's only the choke/jet sizes that differ between the two types. I have looked previously and stocked up on rebuild kits from the US ebay guys like Vintage Imports & GWS rareparts. The bottom link has the accel pump also. Another aftermarket part number is AN101 which you can buy here in Aus at about 4 - 6 times the cost http://www.ebay.com....=item58ad619bcc http://www.ebay.com....=item418298a5b8 Edit, that is of course assuming you use KE1x carbs x 2 and not later Corolla carbs
  6. Part number is actually 23209-16100 per toyodiy Bear in mind that cost per injector if you buy them from Amayama (google it) is: Toyota 2320916100 $159.96 Delivery 20 - 30 days via UAE Toyota 2320916100 $245.21 Delivery period 10 days via Japan On top of that you have delivery. From Japan it would be cheap. From UAE it is sent DHL and more expensive. I expect if you go into your local Toyota dealer you will pay significantly more. I don't even go in there for a sump plug gasket these days, rather I buy direct through Amayama. A far better option is likely to be that you take the injectors out of the rail and have them cleaned at a fuel injection place, who will also give you new seals.
  7. They sell for lots as they are usually rusted or bent. Ask him what actual build date and chassis it came off. It's the only way to know. It will presumably be off a TE2x considering his location.
  8. If you ask Oracles, he should be able to tell you.
  9. Well to be fair, that includes the trueno versions, so you're probably right.
  10. Before you get too excited, there were 9 different mouldings over the life of the KE/TE2x range, and that doesn't include some of the colour variations in some mouldings.
  11. That might be good. I like having it on hand for the occasional job. I will have to suss that out
  12. I find it interesting that I pay twice as much annual charge for one bottle of argoshield than I do for two bottles of propane(?) down the beach. But try and shop around and impossible to get a quote without setting up an account
  13. I presume both sets of wheels are 13's. What size tyres are they?
  14. Bugger.
  15. The corolla one is the Tosco version! At least that's what those who are selling them will have you believe.
  16. Not metallic, good old Toyota red. Any thoughts about appropriate nozzle sizes?
  17. Well it might cover up the rust on your existing bootlid.
  18. I had a go using acrylic on my AE86 using an old large compressor and a fairly cheap HVLP gun. Thinner/paint ratio as per the paint supplier. Did lots of reading beforehand. Came out OK though fairly flat. No clear coat, but plan on some 1500 wet in an effort to bring it up. What still confuses me is the optimum nozzle sizing and air pressure at the gun. Perhaps I wasn't close enough to the panel/moved the gun too quickly. Better results when I focussed on getting closer and slowing down.
  19. Additionally, I knew there had been a thread about it a while back http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/59143-name-the-car-this-tacho-came-off/page__hl__ke20%20tacho If you go to my last post in the thread, there is a period advertisement for it.
  20. I have a distant memory the last one mentioned sold for about $90
  21. There is much more to it than just the top end of the engine. Have done this previously myself. Quite seriously, if your body, suspension etc is good, then look for a rough car as a donor and swap over all the mechanicals/suspension/brakes. Otherwise sell yours and just buy a twin cam. If you take your time, you will likely buy one for about the same as what you get for yours. There are lots of differences other than the engine.
  22. Are they a grey import thing, or were they available here back in the day? As unimaginative as Toyota Australia were back then, I can't imagine that they sold these next to a 4AGE version.
  23. In that case, are you sure you want 114.3? They won't fit the ke25 until you change the pcd
  24. I finally worked out who you are! The superlites look damn good on my AE86 too! But I'm glad this is where they are going. Let me know whenever your in a position to collect them. I'll try and strip the tyres off them later this week so they are ready for you.
