  1. Nice one Evan G! Good pickup.
  2. I have no experience with this, but could you just run some extension tails (short lengths of wire with male terminal on one end and female on the other) between the loom plug and the repco flasher can?
  3. Trivia time Interestingly, the handbrake handle on a Disc rear car differs from a the handbrake handle on a S series equipped vehicle. The difference is only slight, in that the mount point for the cable on the T series handle is slightly different to on an S series handle. If you have a T series handle and a T series disc rear, the front cable from the S series fits perfectly....... Whereas if you have an S series equipped handle and a T series disc rear, use an SV11 cable. Edit: I realised that was a complicated way of saying that when Toyota fitted rear discs to these cars, they simply adapted the mount point on the handle rather than change the cable length......
  4. Go Cam! Old chicks magnet!! You know I'm always up for any remanufactured anything for this car. Wonder if it's the same lady Teddy(?) bought his Supra from.
  5. Another pointless thread........
  6. But then I would be a sad panda. God I love that car. :( Other than the modified example sold via ebay in NSW a while back (and that had a whiff of mystery over the price finally paid), and the absolutely immaculate one in Qld that went to Ireland (special case), I am not convinced people will get what they seem to be looking for. A few rough, incomplete examples have struggled to sell of late. Certainly the odd SL specific part seems to sell for a truckload, but the other bits aren't falling out of trees to complete them. But as always, if the right car comes along and the the right buyer is looking, who knows. I'm just pleased to see these cars are still out there.
  7. Awesome! They are very nice. Always love seeing some more 15/17's surface.
  8. How shiny is that chrome! So how much longer till you need to change your login to Homers_KE15!!!
  9. Been stalking the site waiting on an update. That wheel looks brilliant. Not sure about the plates. False advertising  That really is a brilliant job.
  10. Pickapart kilsyth today for the first time in a long time. The AE86 (first one I have ever seen at a pickies wrecker) is now pretty much stripped. If your after anything, ask me first as I will know if it's there. Otherwise, a couple of KE70's pretty much complete. Front smashed AE82 twincam with obligatory drift stickers.
  11. Went through the part catalog tonight. Unfortunately they are definitely different on basis of part numbers. There are different categories of screens: tempered, tempered tinted, zone tempered tinted, laminated, laminated tinted. And a couple of differences in thickness. Comparing like with like between KE10/11/16/18 vs KE15/17, the part numbers are different. To further confirm it, the seals are different part numbers between the two groups also.. Of interest with the discussion regarding quality of aftermarket seals, there are different part numbers for seals dependent on glass thickness. Would be very interesting to know what the actual dimensional differences are.
  12. It may be possible to determine overall production. In the back of the master part catalog (sic) are the revision codes which list revisions from chassis code to chassis code, and engine number to engine number, The SL's are designated by the code S to differentiate them. There are a lot of revision codes and it is damn confusing. Perhaps I could copy them and send them to you to work out! You can see which factory your car was produced in. Perhaps we could do a tour to the original production facilities, and build little shrines at the gates. I'd be up for that.
  13. By the way, don't tighten the bolts right up until you get the car back on the ground.
  14. You can't say that and not post some pictures :jamie:
  15. Here you go Adam, this may come in handy! VW fanbelt change
  16. Interesting...... I wonder how hard it would be to get some KE15 screens made?
  17. I'm just jealous. as my daily is a Renault Scenic. If I see anything else, I'll PM you again.
  18. Why the 5 week wait? Does this mean they are producing a batch?
  19. Like the sky blue one. Not so sure about that other modern tat :) Anyway, check your PM
  20. I was surprised to find my motor has a cast manifold rather than what people would consider an extractor manifold i.e. tubular headers. That is on a 1969 K engine.
  21. No fair - front on shot of steering wheel! Have you solved the guard flaring problem? Looks fantastic.
  22. The more things change, the more they stay the same: A proverb making the observation that turbulent changes do not affect reality on a deeper level other than to cement the status quo. Says it all really. Quite how a thread about perceived difficulties with registering on forums using generic email accounts somehow became viewed as a personal slight on the proprietor of AE86DC I don't know. I thought I had left that drivel behind. Sorry Raven, I have no idea what a Machine Head is. :P
  23. :P The more things change, the more they stay the same.......
