  1. This is what my jack looks like, complete with factory padding to stop it rattling! At least that was how it came from the original owner. I presume it is the original jack.
  2. Ask Homers_KE17 about the strut tops. He got some from technotoytuning. Time for a new girlfriend..... Well maybe not :P I have only driven mine a short distance prior to parking it up, and after driving only modern fuel injected, power steering cars for years, found mine almost undriveable. Can't wait to get it going and learning to 'drive' again!! Very interested to hear how you get on with the LSD centre. Could see one of those in mine me thinks. My AE86 was transformed when I put the LSD in.
  3. Had a good laugh at some of those photo's! Notice you didn't risk closing the door when you left it at the tide line!! You have clearly put a lot of work into it, and it's a great looking car. Just discovered the slideshow feature. You should start a post in the rides thread. Judging by the photo showing all the doors, I gather parts supply isn't an issue.
  4. Been hanging out for this update! In reality, they are never finished. Be boring if they were. So did one of those LSD centres find its way into the diff?? Love it Cam!
  5. Did anyone buy it?
  6. Welcome! That last photo is pretty awesome. So are there many old corolla's getting around there?
  7. Have you had a look on Toymods? There is an extensive thread on this very subject, very detailed as only Toymods can. http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthrea...ack+pinion+ta22 and related http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/showthrea...ack+pinion+ta22
  8. True, but he needs a 21 tooth gear. Therefore the K gear is no good whether he use the whole shaft or not.
  9. Did this one weekend with a group of mates into a KE55 in about 1990. These were the days when you could get an AE86 disc rear for about $250, and it had an LSD centre in it. Happy times.... Anyway, as i recall it all went in easily enough, but I cannot recall what the steering geometry was like. You may want to look into that a bit more before letting your wife loose in it. Essentially, it has been done many times. Have a look at a few rides threads on here and Toymods, and I am sure you will find all you need to know.
  10. Yes to all that, although I didn't need to swap the lower arms. But if you have them, my as well take the lot.
  11. The plastic gear is pressed on the shaft, can't swap that easily.
  12. I have previously installed rear suspension / brakes from an AE82 twincam into a 5 door carb AE82 (as part of front cut twin cam swap into an AE82 carb car)and they were a direct swap. Essentially you should swap every component from one car to the other!
  13. Take the pump out of the injected tank and the fuel pickup out of the carb tank. If the injected tank is baffled, use that. You're correct about the front struts
  14. Everything will swap across. Sometimes there is some fiddling with the driveshaft couplings, so swap the entire engine front end across as a unit. Swap across the entire wiring loom. Engine bay and dash. The intank fuel pump will bolt into you existing tank, but swap across the fuel/brake lines and brake proportioning valve as a unit to match the disc rears and give you the larger diameter fuel line.
  15. Are you sure you have identified the check connector correctly? Post a pic of what you have.
  16. Wrecker or Toyota or parts wanted on here
  17. They are everywhere! You are going to have to do a thread on both cars !!!
  18. 7Shades, that red AE86 was overrated!
  19. He he The more development work you do, the more standard parts potentially end up in my shed
  20. 9.82mm! I was going to say a bees dick less than 10mm, same thing.
  21. I think I understand what you mean! On the original OEM shock, both the piston and the section immediately below the threaded section are 10mm in diameter. The Boge shock has an 11mm piston whereas the the section immediately below the threaded section is again 10mm in diameter.
  22. Very shiny. I asked overseas if anyone had ideas regarding bolt on flares to suit. No joy. Looking forward to a full specs list!
  23. I have a brand new Boge damper here. The internal diameter of the sleeve is 11.5mm. This measurement is identical on the original fitment damper. Length of bushing is 32mm on both also.
  24. Why don't you just relocate the battery over to the passenger side as per TE27? Less dramas with voltage drop etc.
  25. Does Rex Kelway make them for this application?
