80's Toyota promotional film in Japanese showing some stock AE86's being absolutely thrashed around various Euro circuits by the likes of Per Eklund. Shamelessly lifted from JNC where I saw it first. I'm not real sure, but...... could that be Trev at 9.22 with the AE82???

Had the volume up a bit loud there initially, was like the end of the world was nigh! How awesome is that thing though! It's an absolute credit to all the work you have put into it. Edit: was wondering where you were going to put the intercooler, then thought, hmm, where does that shiny pipe go....

After Market Bucket Seats And Seat Rails For Ae82
parrot replied to Drift_Marti's topic in AExx Corolla Discussion
I got some rails from Yahoo Japan via Import monster. They were specifically made for an AE86 to take LX Recaro's that were initially fitted in a JXA70R Supra. Bolted in perfectly. It looks as if they make rails to suit almost any application, especially if your donor car uses a well known brand of sport seat. I probably ended up paying about $300 or so for a pair including shipping, but I picked up the seats cheaply so didn't mind. There were multiplke sellers for this sort of stuff. Perhaps have a search on yahoo -
You want to trade for a VN Commodore! No reg, minimal panel damage. Bald tyres Or If you still have it in 7 1/2 months, I'll take it. GLWS. Or Do you reckon I could use this as a drift car? Or What a beast, GLWS Isn't that how it usually goes? Except I can also spell.

That would be great. Thanks!

Not wanting to put you off, but towing and heavy handed business practices apparently often go together.... Especially in accident recovery. Something you may wish to think about. Regarding rates, I happily paid $80 to get a car towed about 15km in Melbourne on a tilt tray.

Rusty Relics - Post Old And Abandoned Rollas Here
parrot replied to Tally's topic in Rollaclub Rides
I have never seen anything like that Blue one before Megat. It's almost like a slightly curvier KE30. Perhaps that's where the lines for the KE30 came from. It's a well known fact Corolla's went downhill after the KE/TE2x series, well at least until the AE86 arrived :( -
No, my 1969 KE15 has original fender mirrors. I believe they were deleted in Australia in favour of door/pillar mirrors shortly after this. But whether KE17's had them, I can't say. I had a look at the Australian brochures for the KE15 and KE17 and funnily enough none of the cars had any sort of exterior mirror or blanking plates to cover holes in guards or whatnot in any shots. Quite probably the brochure photos were shot in Japan anyway. Of course, japanese models continued with fender mirrors for many years. In the Japanese brochures, both the flatter style chrome mirrors and black cone style 'sport' mirrors were available on both KE15 and KE17. Strangely, the car in the Australian KE17 brochure appears to be a late KE15 in that it doesn't have 1200 badges on the front guards!

Yes I do really love this stuff. I can remember as kid in the early 70's going along to the dealers when my dad was buying or having his car serviced. It was a different time when toyota had to work really hard to establish themselves in the market via AMI and so on, before Toyota bought into AMI and took over. I appreciate you guys making the effort to post them all up. The reference to the breaking of the number plate frames was why I was so surprised you would have obtained them from wreckers. One of the US guys had some good ones too. The best was an early 70's "Try it in a Toyota"

There are some beauties there! Especially love the early Gould's and AMI City licence plate frames. Where did you find those? The Goulds new vehicle document folde would be pretty early too, judging by the Rambler reference. AMI used to build Ramblers.

I'm looking for 60's / 70's dealer stickers. In particular a Le Mans Toyota sticker from Footscray in Melbourne. Have been in touch with them, and whilst very helpful, they not surprisingly didn't have any in a box at the back of the service dept. My stepfather bought his MX36 Cressida wagon at Goulds. My dad bought his KE20 Corolla from Le Mans, which is what I want to put on the KE25. I'm guessing my KE15 came from Pitstop since the original owner was down that way. Le Mans look to be the only original dealership still in operation. AMI, Pitstop & Goulds are the only other Melbourne dealers from that era I can recall. Obviously any stickers still on existence on cars are going to be in poor condition. General idea is to try and photoshop any half decent ones and get them reprinted. At swap meets I have seen reproduced Holden/Ford dealer stickers. So far in my hunting at wreckers and whilst driving around, I have come across these. On a 1973 KE25 By null at 2010-05-20 On an early 70's Crown Is there anyone else out there with an original dealer sticker on their car? Or any photoshop guru's willing to have a go?

There are electric fuel pumps, and then there are electric fuel pumps. Some provide more pressure than others. I tried running a particular facet fuel pump on a pair of twin webers once, but the pressure was to high, evidenced when petrol started pouring out the throats (and down the bores). So you need to know what pressure range your electric pump is designed to run at, and/or run a separate fuel pressure regulator. Fuel pressure regs aren't expensive, and have been talked about on here a lot recently.

There were a couple of different styles of mirrors for these. I think the "JDM" cone style (I know that's wrong) everyone fits to KE/TE2x and TA22's look good on these. Not sure if there are any angle differences in the mirror arms between the different models so you may need to be a little careful there

I wouldn't mind betting, yours would be the only engineered 5K in the universe.

Sad isn't it. You try and do the right thing, and make reasonable mods, and they still don't want to know. Only way to find out answers to your latest problem is to talk to an engineer on the VASS list.....

If you look up this thread to post #7, you will see I have said "The Electrical Wiring Diagram book is EWD042E (don't have that)." Re reading that post, I can see how I may have confused you. I do have the chassis manual, but NOT the EWD. Be a bit careful and don't assume the AE92 EWD will include 4AGE equipped models. For example, I had an AE82 EWD which had nothing 4AGE related in it. Perhaps you could go into your Toyota dealer and try to order it. You might want to check that it contains the 4AGE stuff if you do.

Once again, no, because i don't have one.

As good as the internet is, sometimes you just have to put your hand in your pocket and pay for something.

Sorry Nadeem I can't help you with that one.

Partnumber For Ke17 Rear Handbrakecable ?
parrot replied to tojo2's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Well Tor, this will crack you up. All KE1x's have the same cable setup. Left and right hand cables are identical (same part number). 46420-12011 BUT, there is also a different part number for Arctic climes, which I presume includes you! 46420-12030 I have no idea what the difference is, and the diagram doesn't illustrate it. Cheers and good luck. I would be stunned if you can get one through Toyota. By the way, are you interested in an all red KE17 tail light lens?
