  1. That looks horribly USA emissions related to me! I would ask on 3TCgarage.com US based and lots of 3TC and 18R aficionados on there. I reckon you will find what you need there.
  2. My post edited appropriately :laff:
  3. That would explain why he is selling his car. Police must be taking his licence off of him.
  4. VSV? Do you have a picture of the valve you need replaced?
  5. Our (edit) KE15 (4/69 I think) has original clip in front lap sash 'harness' belts with the TEQ emblem engraved on them, but no rear belts at all. Haven't looked for any mount points in the back. The parts book shows lap only front belts 6611 - 6902, lap sash front belts 6902 -7004. There are rear lap only belts shown also 6902 - 7004. Colours were red or black. Original belts had clips into eyebolts on the outer side, as well as to a bracket on the transmission tunnel in the front. The rear lap belts were bolted on at the centre mounting. Sorry, should add this applies to all KE1x's
  6. He was logged in yesterday and also earlier this morning, so presumably he has his reasons for keeping quiet at the moment.
  7. If you mean an OEM AE86 disc brake T series rear, RDA supply a replacement: RDA7501. If you want slotted: RDA 7501S
  8. Good morning! Finally got to meet Bamboo and Clown, be deafened by Hendo's side pipe, spitting metre long flames. Probably should have stopped at one crispy creme though......
  9. I suspect the list of donors could be considerably longer. There would be a lot of euro cars out there with Bosch alternators in the 60 - 80W range. Recently found a brand new 60W Bosch alternator at our local wrecker in an Alfetta. This will probably end up in the KE15, as 80W is probably overkill for that. I plan on looking at the various 80's/90's BMW's to see what they have too.
  10. Fixed! Yeah well, nice to see you opened the tap and gave us a bit of rain too.
  11. What a machine! They not only look fantastic, but are incredibly functional too. Had any luck sourcing a guard yet? 3/4 of all early Corolla's in Australia seem to be in Adelaide, so shouldn't be too hard!
  12. With the upgrade to the new software, the time of post is an hour ahead of actual time, and it's doing my head in. Is this some Qld conspiracy tied into your refusal to adopt daylight saving?
  13. Looks like I have a leave pass for this. It was the donuts that tipped me over. I'll be there in something European, but will give my new bling Toyota shirt an airing.
  14. I am not aware of any strut that will bolt up to the 80mm spacing KE20 steering arms. If you decide to uprate your struts you need to look at changing the steering arms to a TE27 arm (85mm spacing and same length arm), then you have alternatives such as AE86. With this arm you retain the original balljoint pin size, and steering geometry. Greatly increases your strut insert and brake options although you need to address a bit of extra positive camber. Arms can be sourced via Japan, usually fairly pricey, or the US, usually fairly cheaply. Techno Toy Tuning also make an AE86 power steering arm with a sleeve to space down the pin hole diameter appropriately. But I would just get some genuine TE2x arms via the US. Has been covered a number of times previously.
  15. Saw this today. Wow! A seriously impressive car. That is all from me. Can't wait for Homer's update
  16. I hate to say it, but I think those 17's do look best. But only because they fill those capacious guards. It really needs to come down a bit doesn't it. But then you wouldn't be able to get your Hoosier motorkhana wheels on. I did wonder what that was for when I saw it last weekend!
  17. Have heard a rumour it is running (quite well) and undergoing some fine tuning. Very much looking forward to seeing it in the flesh!
  18. Looks good! I just compared a few of my recent purchases and it came up a little cheaper on price alone, without adding the advantage of free post.
  19. I wondered who had got that wheel. A good pickup, as you say they don't come along often. Bummer about the paint. A story you hear far too often with panel beaters.
  20. You DID have 12 bucks
  21. What you are looking for is called 'Bailey Channel'. You can buy it in lengths very cheaply. You then need to use your existing rubbers as a template. In Victoria I got some from Bill Thompson Auto Rubbers (www.autorubbers.com.au) and he can tell you how much you need and post it to you. Obviously you will need to tell him how many doors you are doing. Also available at the other various auto rubber places.
  22. A few people have managed it with quite a bit of mucking around, but I can't see that it is worth it. Sell the box you have, will probably get say $150 for it, and then buy a 4A box for probably $200
  23. Back in about 1985 I had a TA22 with a worked 2T twin webers etc that I managed to get up to an indicated 200kmh on a long straight stretch of freeway at 2am in the morning coming home from marshalling at a rally. Boy were those trees coming up fast. There was no one else around on the road that time of night. If I did that today, i would end up on A Current Affair....

  25. Nostalgic Hero http://geibunsha.co.jp/mag/nh/en/ My personal favourite cover :jamie: Japanese Nostalgic Car http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.com/index.cgi US based. Be mindful, their are some doubts as to when another issue may come out. Maybe buy the back issues and wait and see. Levin & Trueno Magazine If you search for 'Levin & Trueno' on ebay, you will see quite a lot of these. Prices vary fairly considerably. It is up to about volume 22 or 23 I think. Focuses almost entirely on AE86's though A worthwhile one to get, is the Levin and Trueno memorial. Has a reasonable amount on the earlier cars. You should find this on US ebay, or at kinokuniya below. There are others, Hyper Rev, Autoworks Retro Car etc, all in Japanese. Be careful, as prices vary widely on ebay. And watch the postage. You can get some via Japanese bookshops in Australia (https://bookweb.kinokuniya.co.jp/guest/cgi-bin/wshoseaohb.cgi?KEYWORD=levin&AREA=06)
