  1. Hey! Need my carby tuned ASAP! Anyone know of a good place in Perth? I've rung around and had no luck but found a few numbers that I'll call tomorrow.. but I thought I may as well ask here as well... Cheers!
  2. Yeah... it's hard to find someone in Perth though... will look around asap cause it's a dog to drive atm.
  3. That's what I don't understand... the tuning side of it. They did jet it but on Gem parts' feedback on eBay, someone complained about a carby they bought off them not being tuned... and they said "of course you need to tune it as you would with any carb that's just common sense!". What is involved in tuning it? I told them the specs of my engine and mods on it... Yeah I've been keeping an eye on yours; I love it. :) Vid is up.
  4. Hahaha seriously it sounds pretty tough with the Weber on... but my god it can drive REALLY crap if I accelerate too hard.
  5. It's supposedly all ready to go. It was jetted by Gem parts... I've sent him a message asking how he jetted it... Oh yeah, also pumps out a f^^^ load of smoke.
  6. My secondaries may get stuck again and I'll get pushed off a cliff!
  7. The weber is apparently running too rich... it is kinda gay. Uploading vids now.
  8. Sounds a lot shorter! Haha. Joshy boy lives in Craigie!
  9. Yeah I think we should cut out a few of those places. Good news! My Weber will be on tomorrow! Thanks to Chris who is doing it for me while I'm at work since I won't have time to do it! Muahahaaaaaaa.
  10. Weber is here! Will be installed soon! Edit:
  11. I haven't checked hey haha. When my car idles, it does it BADLY... as in it's not stable... the revs are very tumultuous. It's been like this since I got I'm pretty sure.
  12. This thing is soooo nice. Sounds like a monster... will try and get a video of it up soon for you!
  13. From what I saw of the side of it, it looks horrible... but the front shot does look pretty nice. Then again I like both BMWs and Toyotas... but yeah I don't think it's that good!
  14. Cheers guys. Will try this soon.
  15. Polisher?
  16. Hmmm ok. My question is, how will carby cleaner show air leaks? I am getting a weber soon which I'm presuming will f^^^ off most of the vacuum hoses and any issues with leaning out etc. When you say vacuum leak, does that mean ANY air leak? Or a leak from one of the vacuum hoses? I sprayed some carby cleaner down recently, but I guess it can't hurt to do it again. :jamie: Cheers!
  17. Oooh a reply! Haha. Selling because of the debt from them... plus they're too skinny and have very little dish. I would definitely like to get some wider, dished rims but it's a lower priority after learning my lesson from the superlites. :) They're very expensive... Yeah lowering it is coming after weber, thermo and tinting probably. An update! Today I polished my rocker cover. With a little bit of advice from SLO-030 on how to do it. I picked up some 360 grit but it was kinda harsh... I did it over with that anyway, and went and got some 1200, 1500 and 2000. Used the 1500 I think... turned out pretty nice after that and some Autosol. The sandpaper was wet and dry but I found that using water with it just spread dirty water over everything so I didn't use water. :no2: Before: After: Went out with h1_roll4 afterwards and had some gravel/limestone( :jamie: ) fun... but surprisingly the polish kept off most of the dust. Car is sooo dusty though. Will clean tomorrow. ;) Cheers!
  18. That was fun. :jamie: Bit of a long drive to get there though! Upload those vids? Haha!
  19. That sounds like a farrrrking long drive! :jamie:
  20. Yeah, it does it when it's hot. Also does it in lower gears when I'm going at a slow speed.
  21. IT doesn't backfire but when I'm slowing down for a traffic light the exhaust does pop but it's not loud, you know? :) Surging was the right word I think! Haha. Yeah, doesn't happen going up hill. I'm pretty sure it happens even if it's at operating temperature, but will double check today as I am going down the hill at about 10 o'clock and car should be pretty warm. Manual choke. Well I did post a thread about my dizzy leaking, maybe that has something to do with the ignition? Haha. My vacuum lines are all over the place, so that could be it as well. I had one look at that vacuum hose pic and said "forget it". Haha. I'll try again today! Cheers guys.
  22. Hey. I only really get this in the morning going to work, but I go down a highway that is easily a few kms long and it's a descent the whole way down. The speed limit is 80... so I'm going 80 and I gently let my foot off the accelerator and the car kinda lunges forward repetitively until I accelerate again... what could this be? Cheers.

  25. Hahaha lesson learned... always ask Chris before opening my mouth on RC. If it's electric then I won't bother... but the seal thing sounds like a good deal as it's leaking a f^^^ load of oil...
