  1. I just read the whole thread.... Amazing work One question.. How come you didn't just stick with the rx7 stud pattern? Even though your hubs are fantastic..
  2. Gregory's No.260 Corolla/Nova 1989 - 1994 6A-F 4A-F 4A-FE
  3. Just got the book, yay, it says 49Nm for the conrods.
  4. Thanks for that. :( I will see how I go and when I get my book I will post what it says here so others will know for future reference.
  5. Hey Guys, I was wondering if anyone would be able to let me know what the torque setting for the big end nuts on a 4afe would be. I have a gregory's manual on order but i won't get that till next week. :( Thanks in advance, Stiks
  6. I had a simarlar problem in my KE30 2 door, when i put the 4k and ke55 dash in it. I've just replaced the jap sender to an aus sender in the jap mounting point (45deg angle) it seems to work perfect, although i have now got into the habit of not running past quarter of a tank.
  7. Is a ae92 tacho cluster plug and play, with a non tacho cluster?
  8. I'd like some pics with measurements too.
  9. I'll be up for a set of 20v into ke30, depending on price.
  10. I mainly use washing powder. Have used degeaser, petrol, gritty soap stuff, prepsol and epsolve.
  11. I changed the whole loom because the 4k bits were all different on the later ke55. Even the reverse light switch on the box.
  12. Look, it's a descent size job. If you have two ke55's there shouldn't be any crossmember differences. All parts are there. The decision is up too you. If your situated in the east suburbs of melbourne i can lend advise in person, or even show you what i did to mine. Mine is a ke30 with all ke55 running gear and i had no problem with crossmembers. I changed the whole wiring loom front to back because of differences in motor loom and almost every other devise between ke30 2 door sedan and ke55, but you shouldn't have that problem with just a box change.
  13. My first corolla had no extractors, but 2" with a single redback muffler. Low rumble, the downshift crackle. I loved it, until the welds started breaking. Do not use ******* ***in lilydale, they suck. I would've taking it back if I didn't write the car off. (edit by Nick - sorry, no defaming workshops please)
  14. Quote from pedders was $166 pair front king springs. About 6 months ago. Never got the money, other stuff came up. I had previously cut the standards though, rides alright, light cars don't bounce as much as heavier ones do. Only took about an inch of settled ride height out of the front, didn't want it to low compared to the back.
  15. The whole dashes are interchangeable. I have done so in my Ke30 2 door, you need whole dash and a support that runs from one side to the other (with bends.) Not sure on wiring loom changes, but you should keep the same gauge cluster that you have. I changed my wiring but i changed the whole thing from front to back. I had problems with jap tank and aussie cluster, jap cluster and aussie temp sender (big pain in arse.) So my conclusion, keep same cluster, change dash (if you like,) but grab the whole thing including supports.
  16. From what i understand, either box should be alright. For ease of installation stick with the auto. But if manual is preferred, keep the other car around till the conversion is complete. You will need the spot welded plate around the gearstick, pedal box, maybe some wiring loom pieces (at least the loop so it starts,) manual and clutch cable. Console is different and console brackets. From memory that is about it.
  17. Both Joe and I feel very welcomed and would definately like to go, can't wait to see the gang and their rides (even though neither of ours will be ready.) See ya soon
  18. hey guys, been around for a while, just thought i'd introduce myself. I'm michael from the yarra valley area, i own a ke30 2dr sedan, with a 4k (that's not to healthy.) I changed the grill, dash and am planning 4age 20v conversion soonish. thats all for now more with pics later.
  19. From what have measured up a master out of a '79 corona should fit, thats what i'm gonna try anyway.
  20. The plate around the shifter also needs to be changed, big pain in arse. Just drill out the spotwelds on both cars and swap the plates and i just used alot of silicone and rivits to reattach it. Welding would probably work just as good and look abit better though. Gearbox mounting points should be the same. They were for me anywho.
  21. toycrazy.net, i found this completely useless to me. it didn't tell me squat.
  22. Has anything been organized yet, as i no a couple of people that are interested.
