  1. Nothing came out with a 4age turbo. And if you are 16, why are you driving V8's and "4age turbos"? Good luck m8.
  2. Ive had the same problem in the last 2 days with my '55 trying to get the correct cap (fackheads at repco). Fuelmiser should make a replacement for either bosch caps. The nippon denso caps are smaller, and don't have the lip that sits over the dizzy. Best thing to do is to walk into the shop with the cap in your hand and get the right one. Good luck mate.
  3. If you are refering to OKE020, ummm she's a KE20 not a '55 lol.
  4. Did you get any videos man.
  5. Looks like fun, good work! Some of the best memories are made from bush bashers, mates, and beer.
  6. In what way was that a childish comment? I was stating that there were mo steering clearance issues with a FJ series cruiser running that size of muddies, and asking if you want some pics because you were "pretty sure" they wouldnt fit.
  7. Nah mate, its an FJ40 SWB, raised 4", and no troubles with the wheel size/width at all. Even before the lift, he ran huge rocky tires. Its got a 351 clevo V8 in it, soon to be twin turbo'd running a C4 auto and custom (homemade) transfer. don't believe me? Ill see him tomorrow and get some pics for you. Sorry to jack the thread
  8. Obviously a 4x4, and he was talking about the tyre size, and the appropriate rim sizing. Well my mates brother has 33 inch muddies on his cruiser, 12 inch wide on a 10 inch wide rim. Might be the same profile as your tyres, dunno. Fkn expensive things lol. And no, guard flaring shouldnt be a problem  , and it should be pretty friggin high
  9. Awesome work! Did you do the tubs yourself? Should move along well with a gte in it id reckon. Good work.
  10. Umm, that was me racing Rob, sorry... Just joshin, we used to play around out of town, away from people, and police. We only had ourselves, and our cars to hurt, and it would have been our own fault. We live in south Tbar and hear them on ruthven st sometimes. God it sounds nice to hear a nissan 6 on hard boost hit the limiter up against a ford V8. Hmmmmm :) But not in town, not the place for it.
  11. How bout ya give the little c**t a break and try to teach him something. The great thing about the world today is the wealth of knowleddge on the internet. He mustnt know of google, so help him out. We have heard the unit/jetpilot/southern cross/billabong jokes 100 times. t18drifts, you're a P plater too arent you?
  12. Have i critisised you? Ive asked serious question so far. Usually silly question with obvious answers annoy me, but tonight I'm in a good mood. To make your corolla drift, you will need a decent amount of power at the back wheels (engine conversion), and steering and suspension upgrades (sway bars, lowering, coil overs perhaps in the front, LCA changes/mods etc etc). All of this will cost a shit load of money. Then it has to be legal and engineered. For example, if you buy a sr20de/t half cut. You need to weld up engine mounts, gearbox mounts, sort out a diff preferably with disc brakes for stopping, and engineering, custom tail shaft, fuel lines, fuel pump/s, fuel filter, wiring loom and computer mated with the body harness which is a job in itself (huge bitch of a job!), sorting out running a speedo cable/sensor, hydraulic clutch etc. The list goes on, and none of these jobs are easy or straight forward.
  13. ^That too. An i don't think KE30/55 corollas would make great drift cars either. Why not look into a better suited car if you are set on it. When you say, you love being sideways, is that just little squirts on dirt roads and wet bitumen? Because thats not what drifting is like at all. And where are you getting "drift lessons"? Just wondering.
  14. Lucky buggers. How does it work in SA? I'm interested, cos here its all different. I think most states are.
  15. There are so many variables to your questions. A worked 5K will put out enough puff to keep you sideways, depending on alot of conditions. Why do you want to drift? What makes you think you could drift? I'm not having a go, but its a skill like anything else. Some people are naturals, and some people can learn, and some people will never be able to pick it up.
  16. You will need: -Alot of money. -Alot of time. -An open license. -Patience. -Mechanical, electrical, and engineering know how. -The skill to drift and control a car. Really depends what you want man. If you are on your P's, you can't do any engine conversions, or have forced induction engineered. If you want to make it handle you will need to spend a few $s on suspension setup. Engine conversion will set you back lots of $s depending on the work you do yourself. Are you on your P's? Can you drift?
  17. Got my kit in thisarvo, and I'm wrapped with it. Low beam, looks like a crystal white halogen, does not irritate at all, i even got my mate to drive behind and onto me, and its fine. Even over bumps and rough roads it doesnt flash or carry on. Then high beam, its great. Not as great as other shapes of lamps designed to project the light in a pencil beam, but still a good outcome. Will wait for a while, then go out and adjust them spot on. Ill try to get some pics, but they never do things justice, better or worse. But, i do not encourage people to do it, because it is illegal, and most kits are poorly designed, frustrate other drivers, and attract attention. If you plan on doing a conversion, do some research, think it through, and choose a decent kit. Thanks, Luke.
  18. Any chance of some pics Evan? Mine arrived today, but i work 14 hours a day and can't spare half an hour atm.
  19. Thats right, anything over 4300-5000K, it emits a frequency of light that the eye can not see and it becomes useless sorta. Glad we are on the same page. The intensity of the light is a different matter. As i said before, when people hear HID they have a mind set for blinding stupidly intense light, and thats not right. Thats not what it is. A high intensity discharge is just that, and it is very adjustable and friendly. Really depends how it is set up, and the reason why i don't wish to talk to people having a bitch, not knowing the person they are whinging and preaching to. CBF. Bah, sick of this thread....
  20. I'm over discussing this, but thanks Raven, i hope people do understand exactly how things work before they play around with them. Even the different gases and combinations and ratios that are confined in the bulb (usually giving a hotter/colder burning) the kelvin rating and a differ in colour, also the different metal material that is used as the filament, gives different types of light, and colour. Alot of which we can't even see.
  21. f@$k it. I regret starting conversations sometimes. Ive done 3 conversions, with 3 different cars, with 3 different lamps with different concave and complex shapes and points of light reflection etc. The same kit has been used with all 3 cars, with fantastic results. It is not irritating in any way to other drivers (on low beam), we have tested and checked everything! What i was asking was, has anyone put a kit in a KEXX, not if you think its a good idea or not, or how much you hate extremely bright HID's. Have you put a kit into an older model lamp 7shades? If you have, id love to hear the outcome of it. Pretty soon we will see the results of H4 HID in an early square koito corolla lamp. If it is a horrible outcome, it will be removed from the car.
  22. No need to say mean things. As i stated i know they are not legal. The kit i have ordered, and used before are not stupidly blinding HID's that some people choose to use. This depends on the kelvin (K) temperature of your bulbs (the colour it emmits) and also the power discharged from the ballasts. Why is it, whenever someone says HID, people automaticly think of overpowering blinding blue or white light? And power The low beam output from the kit ive used, and will be using is as comparable on your eyes as good set of halogen bulbs (slightly whiter). People that want to run their mouth, have a read about how HID works. A good read.
  23. If you really mean that, you've got a good driving attitude mate. Good on ya. :y:
  24. Hey. Was it a red KE70 with fender mirrors? If its the same c**t that pissed me off, he deserved it!! Absolute f@$kin wankers! Hope the little c**t learned a lesson. And if the driver is reading this, yes the police did contact me about what happened. I havnt got a cast on my arm anymore, if i see ya again ill flog the f@$k out of ya!!
