  1. And they are pretty bloody hard to come by.
  2. A forged head?? No such thing mate.
  3. Fully forged? Pistons- Roughly $700 (arias), depending on brand ,whatever oversize you fancy. Crank- ARD Balanced/knifedged $900. Con rods- $800ish forged shotpeened. Really depends on who you know. Have a squiz on ebay and other sites. Do a bit of research. You can pick up combos of Ross, Arias etc pistons and Spool Rods for about $1000 made especially for 4age/gze. And any other performance part you could wish for. Decomp plates, valve springs, cams etc. Good luck.
  4. No haha, i found it funny that he thought they did lol.
  5. A good mate called me up a years ago all excited. He said "Did you know Diesel's don't have spark plugs?" :blinks: Haha. And my Mrs drove her ae82 for a week with the oil light on. "I was wondering what that light was...".
  6. Looking good Keith. Did you end up selling the wagon? You have my number if you are chasing any parts too. Did you paint the xxr's or are they different wheels? Or were they like that? don't remember. Nice job bro!
  7. Ive just found a new hobby  Building my trike asap haha. Its freakin awesome fun!!
  8. Not a great deal man. She is still in daily use. Saving as much coin as i can at the moment. Our son is now 1 month old, just landed a new job, hopefully will have some time and moonay to spend on her soon. Or f@$k it, and buy an aristo?? I flipped the springs a while back, but flipped them back. Too low (flipped 2nd), and too much attention. On the bumpstops basicly.
  9. Good to see steady progress man. Good job, best of luck.
  10. Ok. This bloke is in Tassie, and he is chasing ke70 flaired guards. Needs to be in WTB i think.
  11. Hey, i have body parts. Few spare legs n hands n livers n shit lying around. Seriously, what kind of model and parts are you after? And where are you located? Bit more specific hey.
  12. Try to keep it original(ish), these are rare as rocking horse shit. If you do make mods, make sure they are reversible. Freakin sweet ride mate! Tidy as.
  13. No.
  14. Ive been watching and hoping for this, its going to be freakin awesome! Nice work!
  15. Hows your car goin man? PM me.
  16. Mate if i had the coin to throw around at the moment i would, i know its not a big job. Thanks for you interest man, not sure how this old girl is gonna turn out yet. She is giving me alot of greif, and i don't appreciate finding more rust, and more problems that were covered up! Pissin me off.
  17. Yeah man, 4 gourami's, and a brisstlenose catfish. Send me pics of your missus hahaha.
  18. Hahaha, funny shit! Um, i do have a 4ft tropical tank if you wanna swaps....
  19. Yeah, i started finding more rust the more i looked for it, it was covered up pretty well with generous amounts of bog >|
  20. Bit of an update me thinks. Started sorting the rust issues, but i work a stupid amount of hours and had to dodgey some of it for now. Repairs and welding have been done before (in pics)It is still in daily use, split top radiator hose replaced, fuel filter replaced, cooling system flushed and new coolant, new oil and filter etc. Really craving more power, looking at a few little things, weber/solex and a tighe 104 grind, electric dizzy maybe. Still, I'm not going to fart around with a 4k too much, just want it a bit more pleasant to drive. The $ to hp ratio isnt worth it. Had some spare time today and decided to muck around and polish my rocker cover came up brilliant! Pics don't do it justice, and this was before anoter 3 rounds of autosol.
  21. :y: :y:
  22. I reckon the 3M brand works pretty well, but needs a wire buff or a sand afterwards to remove some deep pitting from surface rust spots.
  23. Hey phat, i use the 3M brand rust converter, and it does much the same job. Probably not the same product you are thinking of though. Good luck, Luke. Edit. Oh yeah, ive seen Deox C and Deox gel used, awesome stuff.
