Take into account a 140/150kw hona vtec halfcut/ engine package will set you back about $6000 (the prices ive been able to find), then to mate it to a rwd gearbox probably with an adaptor made up, then all the other normal engine conversion stuffarounds. Half of this could be spent for example an SR20det conversion with more power (not the same power curve), already with the rwd gearbox etc. Also check out the vtec V6's (199kw/271hp). I reckon it would be cool to see a vtec powered corolla, but i personally would invest in something else.

A type R, 140ish kw. You got the $'s to do it? It would end up costing much more than the power is worth. And.....bugger honda. I do like the type R's though :rolls: Vtec is very over rated in my opinion.

AMR 300/500 are pretty small blowers too, id be inclined to go for an sc12 with a suitable pully. Or you could sell me your corolla, so someone with some knowledge and respect for beautiful cars could treat it well :P

The manifold looks very solid Trev. Ive seen cheap shitty ones crack the first time they get heated up. Whats the brand? Or was it a custom job?

Spot on man! Ive been driving since i was 12, a pharkin long time, grew up in the country, and it really gives you sooo many skills when it comes to driving, and learning to control a vehicle. No matter the conditions, the car/ute, dirt, bitumen, wet, dry, uphill, downhill etc. It also gets the "hoon" and stupidity out before you get on the road legally.

The thing that really pisses me is, they somehow get these great condition, and sometimes rare corolla's for like $500, then do stupid shit to them and act like morons. Not just P platers i guess. Then they are 10 foot tall and bulletproof behind the wheel, cos every 17/18 year old is a professional drifter in a 50hp car. My best mate was killed in 2006 by a younger f@$kwit that thought he could drift, No fines, nothing. Slap on the wrist, and off you go. For sure, go and have fun, but do it at the right place, head 10 minutes out of town on the back roads and dirt roads. You're not gonna get caught there, and you're not gonna hurt anyone but you. Hey guys. Its awkward sharing this because alot of rollaclub members are P platers. About 10 times in the last week i have seen stupid little weeds treating their corolla's like they are f@$kin 600hp drift cars. What really set me off (and I'm still worked up), was a fat little c**t and his 12 foot tall mate in a red ke70 here in toowoomba, almost took out a woman and her kids in a car, revving the ring out of the poor old bitch, just driving like f@$kheads in general, so i gave them a few "words". Then they followed us around for half an hour while my fiance held me in the car, still wanna beat the snot out of them and help them wake up!! I remember being that age, learning how to control a car etc, but we did it where it was safe, and no one else would be hurt if something went wrong. P platers please remember you are not bullet proof, and if you have an old school rolla, escort, gemini, torana etc, treat it with some f@$kin respect, and treat other road users with respect, or someone like me will flog the snot out of ya!!! Would like to hear other peoples opinions and stories! Edit. I am not picking on P platers, or saying they all drive the same.

Weber (or whatever carby tickles you), extractors, exhaust, cam if you can afford to, all the simple things. Depends how much money you want to spend. Do a little research, itll get you a long way. Most NA motors will benifit from the same modifications.

Its been done many times to early KE corolla's. Will need modification to almost everything though. And yeah, ^like he said^, have a quick search.
