Sure that is a reduction gear starter? Looks more like the standard planetary type starter to me.. (More pics to confirm?) There is usually a plastic drain plug that goes in that hole, don't freak out about it not being there..

Black out the radiator support panel from the front, Will make it look a million times better..

Sounds like the fan speed resistor is shagged, Don't go ripping apart the blower motor unless you are sure that is what is causing it..

Buy an AE71, pretty much the same as the KE70 just you won't have to f@$k around changing the engine crossmember and fitting the hydraulic clutch etc.

Cleaned up and resprayed where I had patched the rust in the bottom of the drip rail on the rear passenger side, Also a piece in the door jam and a bit near the boot. Turns out the white on the car was not as good a match as the front guard. Seems to be a higher opacity white than the Peak White.. Will give the paint a week to settle and see if I can rub it back a bit..

Masked up and painted the black along the bottom of the guard yesterday..

Yeah, Those mounts look a lot better than the last ones did.. Interesting to see they bolt up pretty much the same..

Pretty good effort with the commodore, You should see some of the ones I see on the back of trucks near work.. Every time it rained up the coast I'd always see like 3 commodores in the same ditch on the way home, They are just too light in the rear end..

Pretty sure both metal pieces of the mount are meant to be parallel to each other, I think it is bending the rubber mount to compensate for the angle of the engine mount..

Never compared a T series crossmember to an A series one, Could be slightly different..

Few minutes of research and found out that its not a green wire, Its actually light blue (According to Toyota's wiring codes). *Updating Previous post*

What crossmember are you using? any close up shots of where its not sitting in the mount properly?

The thick cream coloured one goes to the battery post "B+" I'm assuming this is an externally regulated alternator? Red will go to your field "F" Light Blue will be neutral "N" and white/black will be earth "E" F / N / E - usually go in a QK3 plug

How far is it to where you are getting the alignment done? Just eyeball it and drive it there if it is close..

Yes I know what I wrote, He is being a f@$king show pony and has no sympathy for what has happened to other people due to his own f@$kheadedness..

Got them through the mechanics at work (Trade Price) they are a pretty cheap part really. They aren't that hard to do on a KE70 diff so I wouldn't expect yours to be any different. Hardest part would be pressing the new ones on..

Change the wheel bearings first and go from there, I just did mine on Saturday in my KE70.. Cost me $37 for both bearing kits with seals (Trade price)..

After doing a few other various patches we tried a can of Peak White from Supercheap to see if we could make it match, Turned out pretty good... So hopefully we can make the car look half decent again and not have it attract the wrong sort of attention.. We did a hand cut and polish of the bootlid, roof and bonnet the other weekend, It came up looking pretty good. Just need to black out the bottom this weekend now the paint has had a good chance to dry.

Anyway, The first and worst bit to break out was around the fuel filler, Some photos attatched of the quick fix..

Because Teddy is too slack thought I would post up some pictures of his white KE70.. Before he got his licence it had a stock 4K in it and he had a very quick and dodgy respray done on it. He later on got some nice mag wheels for it and fitted a slightly worked 4K with 3K largeport head / cam / downdraft weber etc. Also fitted extractors and exhaust.. Then later on he picked up twin carbs for it and they went on. Over the years though the rust has begun to break though the paint so I have started patching bits here and there when he comes up to work on the blue car.. Some pictures of it in its former glory..
