I found out one of the local importers is actually in Japan at the moment sourcing parts. So today I put my order in for: 1 x TE27 Instrument Cluster & Fascia 1 x TE27 3 Gauge Cluster & Fascia 1 x TE27 Centre Console

I may be able to source a boot for you tomorrow if you're keen....

Japanese technology is about 20 years ahead of Australian and American technology.... And its all about making money these days....

More money to throw into the car. Idler Arm needs replacing, l/h outer tie-rod end is worn and the wheel bearings are loose and on top of that it needs a wheel alignment. The Idler Arm alone is worth $100. So i'm getting it all sorted out next Tuesday and hopefully I'll be able to turn better :D

Question. After someone rates it, does it show its current rating?

Just Car Insurance wanted $597 for full comp, with a $1350 excess. No thanks. SGIC Insurance on the other hand wanted $386 for my car. I'm a Rating 1 as well. So I went with them. :D

Today I went looking to get full comprehensive insurance for my KE25 Coupe. Two problems popped up. 1. The KE25 isnt listed in the RAA's database and isnt listed on Just Car Insurance's database when I checked at Autosalon. 2. Apparently its an import, so I can only get full comprehensive on it anyway. So who do you recommend to get insurance through that are based through-out Australia?

I had the holes welded, ground flat and undercoat applied yesterday: Here's the progress so far: I also picked up a RH door seal in excellent condition for 2 bucks from SA's biggest self-serve wrecker today as well. Bargain!

Everything I've read on the net points towards the 5S-FE being non-interference and a 5S-FE (which he has, its not a 3S-GE so i found out) is basically a stroked version of a 3S-GE anyway.

A simple yes or no answer would be great. My mate seems to think he's bent valves cos his timing belt snapped. :y:

Some more mods. I decided that I didnt like the mirrors very much as they had been attached incorrectly and i couldnt see shit outta them, so I upgraded to these: I'm getting the holes welded, grinded and primer applied tomorrow, so it should be sweet once its done.
