  2. looks like my car wont be on the road by the cruise but it will be very soon after, so we will have to make some sort of Christmas cruise but i will be driving shah's car still so will see ya'll soon
  3. just rang the engineer closest to me and the first guy i rang said $385 for him to do everything :D this means i can get my car on the road even sooner and have money to spend on other stuff like getting bushes and exhaust done
  4. thats true, well its mainly the steering ones i need to replace as they are cracking but apart from that everything is fine small update, alternators don't work :D one doesnt charge at all and the other doesnt stop charging and over heats, gonna try make 1 out of the 2 or buy one hell cheap/trade my 2 for a working one
  5. i can pick up my k40 without any problems so that means its around the 40kg mark and the 4k would weigh around 100 depending whats attached to it
  6. also why the hell would you wanna put an older head on when you need to battle with the corrosion and all the other general wear, just get your 4k head machined down .020 or .040" and it will have the exact same effect, while your at it you might as well take a little while to get your ports opened up a little more. that will increase flow and make your compression a descent amount higher and yeh search button helps ALOT and also reading the FAQ
  7. this sounds like an awesome project philbey my dad, and my uncle (who is ex go-kart repairer/racer) built up a gokart from scratch, ran into so many friggen problems your build looks like its going along without many hitches, are you going for a more laid back seating position or a lay forward drag style?

  10. wait what! new car you say??? pics of new car are a must!! my original aim for my car was a 5k turbo with t50 and an awesome but simple setup, supercharging would be just as good id imagine and also i love the whine of a good SC pics pics pics pics pics pics:) (get my point?)
  11. the one second from the left was like 800 or something, prices went up from there to do list: replace all bushes with nolathane replacements clean the diff of oil clean up wiring fix alternator flush coolant
  12. the other day i was thinking of how to make my car look more respectable for the pits and i came up with this: not finished yet but here is the engine bay as it stands now, put a few things in corregated tubing but the main wiring strip is stil open for any last minute changes I'm getting one of these as soon as i can afford it :) and here is what happened when you take a 17yr old to a family party:

    just today i saw the red ae71 that is near my house and a turquoise blue ke3x both with p plates near como SHS there is a silver ke70, blue ke70 and a white ke70, 2 of which are on the same road also saw a little old lady driving a ke20 that looks like shes owned it since new, it was such a cute car, rusted to shit like most ke20's now

  18. thats correct, ive heard that if your really good with drills and welding then drilling the hole is easy
  19. alright got some resistors of larger value in now and runs better, will have to get the correct value before running it over the pits. figured out i will have 1250 within 2 weeks having sold a shitload of stuff and worked some pretty nasty jobs, NO I WAS NOT A PROSTITUTE, although it did cross my mind :) will hopefully have it going by the cruise
  20. you really need to do it with the dwell angle gauge borrow or buy one or find the manual for yours id imagine the gap would be around about .020-.040"

  22. all of that would probably get you around 80kw at the flywheel, if you balance it to rev to 9000 then you will be able to get more out of the cams, get the carbies dyno tuned and refresh the gearbox and diff and you could squeeze a little extra out.

  24. if you do some searching on AE86drivingclub and you will find out how to do the throttle body or someone who will do it for a price. and yes i do believe it should bolt straight up to the auto that is already in the car without any problems as all the A series blocks have same gearbox pattern
  25. why a 3k dizzy? arent 4/5k a better option? but no id imagine that wouldnt effect it unless it wasnt firing properly due to cracked contact, measure the resistance between the lead side and the rotor button side, it should be no resistance, if its not then buy new cap
