  1. i do believe it is supposed to have the thread, maybe it has just worn out, if you can't find ANY thread at all then try attaching it somehow because if it starts to fall off it might round off the speedo cable adapter thing then you will have to buy new cable
  2. rev it and when you let it off check if any smoke comes out the back, if it does then there might be a leaky valve seal if it leaks oil under hard accelleration then it would most probably be the oil ring on no.2 if anything is leaking you might as well do some headwork while its off :)
  3. ssr starsharks arent exactly rare, seen heaps of them in aus all you gotta do is look harder but yeh, ae86dc would be best bet and if not there then just wait a lil for some on here
  4. hmmm garnet i do believe that this may be one of the best things thats happened in perth for a while. so where is this place located?
  5. sounds like the thrust bearing, could be just touching the pressure plate fingers which would cause it to squeel
  6. i do believe that if you have a t series gearbox the shaft may need to be shortened, are they the same spline output? goodluck with the conversion
  7. did the same with my conversion, go INTO an engineers workplace and ask a few questions, they are the most knowledgable and you also get to make friends with the guy that may be checking your car over
  8. why are you converting though? the slant front looks pretty good, unless your going quads
  9. probably wouldn't pull as much as some of the guys you will pick up :jamie: p.s does the .5 mean your gonna pick up a midget??
  10. not a 5 min job, have to swap all of the panels including the bonnet, and from what ive read you also need to change the front apron or modify it to fit
  11. possibly close by there, maybe go for a tunnel run??? be fun to go through there on my first day of having my licence:D if anyone can make another route that is acceptable then lets go for a tunnel run
  12. thats good enough, haha
  13. you wil need the starter motor that suits the flywheel, so maybe try borrow a 20v one and if it works buy your own
  14. i was double checking that you were coming, just trying to get count, its up to 8 cars so far
  15. garnet looks like i can't drive your car :lolcry: driving shah's now :lovin: what car are you bringing garnet? are you coming chris? if so what car are you bringing?
  16. if it is a S series celica then for sure, what model celica are you talking bout? as for brakes, have you asked project MU ? they are pretty good
  17. WOW open ended question much? the average 4age into ke70 cost $7000 for someone else to do EVERYTHING, but then you still need to go thru rego and engineers cert so into a ke20 would cost at least an extra $1000, ive got the gearbox crossmember you will need, straight from a 4age ke20
  18. 3 people from AE86DC :lolcry: this cruise is gonna come along nicely
  19. haha, well i hope that we can have a sensible cruise, don't really want to lose my licence or get a warning on the first day of getting my licence
  20. valvoline now have the anti drain back vavle, had a ryco and never had a singlee probleem with oil pressure, always run ryco or genuine toyota
  21. friend has an ae86 and his rear section of exhaust (over-diff) almost perfectly fit my ke70, but decided to get new pipe so cut it all
  22. found out what the problem was, i was running 2 ohm injectors without a resistor pack because someone told me i didnt need them (not naming) and once i put resistors on there it ran like a beauty. cheers to all that helped
  23. haha, nah this thing isnt gonna have the diff welded until i have another LSD ready to go in, maybe f or s series, already has enough grunt to go sideways, dad stomped it turning slightly and the back end skipped out :no2:
  24. alright all these problems were fixed today and NOW ITS RUNNING PERFECT, needs idle adjusted but apart from that its perfect, got enough power to slide out around corners :no2: turned out it needed resistors for the injectors
  25. haha, well my car has life so its a possibility that ill take it IF i can get money for a engineers cert and regency to pass it
