  1. it would be possibly, and frankly it would be nice, but its such a light car already that it doesnt really need it
  2. haha so true hilux diff is top choice man, looks like youve done your research should be quite alright with the build besides, half the fun is finding out the problems yourself :) btw, i don't know if you will have same struggle but my pedal box was a BITCH to get out without taking out the steering column ended up just saying F-this and yanking it out :y: oh btw make sure you don't accidently cut any wires, its a bitch if you have to "heal" the wires while your upside down
  3. just throwing this out there, not sure but you may want an r31 or a stronger toyota diff, unless its only going to be driven like a charade
  4. just sounds like you bought a dodgy clock mate, either that or the wires running to the clock are broken. replacing the fuse wont do anything because it all runs off the same fuse, if you know what your doing try putting the correct voltage across the clock wires (id imagine it would be either 3 or 12 volts, but double check to be safe) and if it still doesnt work then you should buy a watch
  5. i got around 300 per tank on the ke70, which was around 40L from memory (havnt filled it up in 60 months, seen as there was no engine in there :bash:) check that there isn't a vacuum leak, the fuel atomises due to the air rushing past, if you don't have enough air the fuel will appear to drip rather than atomise. id buy a new can of aerostart/start-ya-bastard or whatever you call it and at IDLE check for leaks mainly around the base of the carby and the intake ports goodluck with it
  6. have made a custom clutch line to clear the extractors using original soft line for flexibility section made custom rear right brake line (making left one soon) bled the clutch line semi bled the brake line mounted and wired up the VL turbo fuel pump mounted the fuel filter converted to EFI hoses clutch line :bash:
  7. i know it should but it doesn't, I'm not completely retarded ;) just a lil thanks evan g, you are right. pumps quite fast ;) all worked out now :D
  8. hey all i have a vl turbo fuel pump (genuine item) and it has paddle terminals, i need to know ASAP if the larger terminal is the negative or positive, can't see any markings on the pump itself and please don't post unless your 100% sure as i don't want my car to catch fire ;) I'm trying to get my car running by this arvo, cheers
  9. not sure but i think you need to do quite a bit of work to get it in, also power steering means less power, and 4k's are already weak as piss. why not just rebuild your current reck and pinoin steering? it will feel a lot smoother if you get it done proper. ive driven a ke70 with worn rack and it was a bitch to turn while standing still and also going slow, but my ke70 atm has had the steering rack either replaced recently or was just turned once a month for the last 25 years as its smooth as hell and feels really light to turn, that said i am running 13" rims with 175 on them
  10. HAHAHA mr bean style, i like it. lucky they didnt break more things like windows and whatnot, still they deserve to be strung by their genitalia
  11. yeh but that changing the stroke as well stock they are 85x78 (bore x stroke) he is talking about just boring it out which is why i said that its a bit risky. btw wiseco make some really epic pistons for 3t's 00, 20 and 40 thou over. possibly more things too so go check out their site, but their pricey
  12. i think that stuff is mainly made for sumps and whatnot. just buy a proper gasket, much better and isnt messy when you take it off. also if there is ANY sealant dangling down in the intake it will most probably eventually get sucked into the engine and burned and not sure if thats terribly good for your engine.
  13. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=25461 ive got 13's on mine with very little dish and i think it looks respectable and not over the top i think 14x7.5 0 offset with slightly stretched tyres are the way to go, twinkytodd had them on his ke70 and they were jizztastic
  14. what car is it?? and why do you want white? white is good but if you drop chocolate or anything its ruined! imo go for something black with a lime green stripe, stands out and wont need cleaning every week btw spell the name of the post right, its "interior" not "intera"
  15. first of all is it even possible to goto 2 litres with a 3t without putting new sleeves in? displacement is the best way to get power as it gives you a better base to start with, but why? what the car going to be used for? id say go 20 thou over and buy some nice pistons and rings so they last but long story short if your gonna bore it out that much you wont have room to rebore it when it comes time to rebuild, that said a 2 litre will obviously have a heads up on a 1.8. ask around here what is good to get done: http://www.toyota3tc.com/
  16. some came with cruise control, few diff variations though, some came with a brick, some with steering locks ;) A/C is epic but mine didn't come with it, i think it was a standard item in the cs and xx models? s model you have to pay for it
  17. thats your best bet, if you make your own make sure it is the right temp range, flame proof, whatever suits the job it is going to do. you might be able to cut down a proper gasket if you buy one new?? not sure if it will work, can anyone shed some light on this?
  18. HAHA, omg i love the related video's tab double decker bus: and a pretty good motard drift:
  19. HAHAHA 7shades that is an epic drift, amazing angle! stupid cops never expected this :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWIqbAIoIJ8...feature=related and best AWD drift ive ever seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkNzkutTiGs
  20. $4000+ pending on the condition of everything, but yeh i wouldnt go below $4000 as it seems like a nice setup
  21. 1350 hp atw *drools over keyboard* but seriously that thing is just awesome, bout time someone chopped a RR
  22. ive done that choke thing before but i realised for every 50km you drive it uses about the same amount of fuel as driving 100km  ive heard of people using vice grips as cruise control :) lol ive done it by wedging the pedal with my shoe but yeh wouldnt recommend it as mine didnt have shoelaces which is only reason it didnt get stuck :y:
  23. here are 2 videos that make me laugh every time i see them, and also make me want to try it: van drift :) tricycles :y: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjNzcjFgV6s diesel truck and last but not least is one of those indian taxi trike's there are thousands out there so show us your favourites! doesnt matter if you repeat a link!
  24. :) got all the things onto the engine, just need to bend some new brake, fuel and a clutch line (to clear extractors) and it will be running. me and my dad have decided to start over with the loom and strip it down to originaly and add our own wire to it instead of attempting to use it as it is (setup for an ae71 but chopped to shit) ive got everything i need to finish the car its just a matter of time now, I'm aiming to get this thing finished within the next 5 weeks so i can start saving for the stupid engineers cert. :y: well here is the wheel installed along with the tacho dash, cleaned it up and armour-all'ed it, then after it soaked in i washed it with warm soapy water to rid the excess armour all
  25. GOT THE O-RINGS :) toyota charge $5.95 each and call them injector vibration dampers for anyone interested, part number: 2329141010 will be working my ass off tomorrow to get the loom figured out and the coil and map sensor properly mounted
