Hey, i was just on the rare spares website looking for new front and rear screen rubbers, and there appears to be two listings for each, with two separate part numbers. Is there two different shape ke25s or does anyone know the difference between these two sets of rubbers, there is also a price difference of about $2. thanks, any insight is appreciated. :wink:

Fifth died at powercruise. I was on the back straight racing an old ht holden, i hadnt lost a race all day and the damn ht launched off the line like a drag car. I chased it to well over 200clicks and once i hit 7grand in 4th i snapped it into 5th........and that was the end of 5th. :hmm: Id like to think i was catching him, but i wasnt, damn that car was fast!Reverse didnt really break, it just wont come out with the gearstick, all the other gears crunch hard, especially secound cos thats the one i used to use in burnout comps(before the turbo).

You probably don't need the ta22 one, its just the closest thing, use what you want really, just see what you recon looks close, and modify it. As far as the gearstick goes, my gearbox has broke fifth and reverse so far, and I'm going to the drags in 10 days, so you might get lucky..........

The most likely thing as already pointed out is injectors, if the motor has been sitting for more than 6 months it is likely they are seized. I had this exact problem several times. It cost me $20 each toget them cleaned, the guy will also test them before he cleans them to tell you weather it was the injectors or not. Yep i also used the ta22 brake master, probably steal the whole pedal box out of the celica too, as it will help you to get the pivot point just right.

You shouldnt need the rest of the silvia loom as you just use the corolla one, just cut the coil wire and related crap out of the rola one and use it for alternator and starter, lights ect, to wire the sivia computer apparently you just need 3 wires. one has gotta be power, the other accesories ;) :D yep I'm only guessing.....good luck, keep us updated :P

Spend as much as you can, for $500 you will get one not big enough to do alot of things, 8mm would be an optimistic view. If it is only for panel work though, she'll be right. Personally for the home application i would look at the $1000 mark. Your choice but......

Personally i wouldnt waste my money on a VL pump that "may" keep up later. Just buy an 044 straight up and then you will always know that it is not the problem. For the extra 100 bucks its worth the peace of mind.

I once had this happen and it actually corroded through in behind the water pump in the front caseing, so don't forget to check this if you can't find the spot.

Nah, i don't think this one is gonna cop some grunt, just resto, i do love the sound of red walls. I was thinkin of putting an sr20vvt non turbo in it but i think that building a tough sr for the ke30 is doin enough damage to my wallet. This baby can stay as the cheap reliable daily driver :)

Yeh the white walls are on their way, i don't like white cars but, so i was thinkin black maybe... I tryed to swap the skyline but he was insulted and told me he aint gay :) . It does have a tip meter in the dash, is that a bonus??Its in mph, which is still confusing me just a little. :D

Hey all, this is my new ride, just picked it up yesterday. Cos of the price of fuel ive decided the gay skyline has to go, so this is my new daily driver, more style than a skyline, and better economy! :) I am the third owner, and i know the old dude who had it for the last 2yrs, the whole car is spotless, never been painted, just has two pinholes of rust in each lower gaurd. Even the interior has no rips, except for drivers seat.

I think the hybrid is a good idea, and would acheive the best result, from memory the 3t has bumpy top pistons(very very bad), so with the hybrid perhaps with the 1600 head you could use flat tops, dunno, worth a look at. :D

A little off topic, but is a ke25 diff identicle to a ke20?? And is the centre the same as the banjo centre found in a ke30?? thanks ;) I have searched this but its probably not on here as everyone probably already knows the answer(except me) :D

Man that is very cool! A very full house car, nice colour too, obvirsely spent alot of time on the bodywork. It sucks that we can never see it legally cruise the road, i hope he gets it out alot to events and drags
