  2. Your jumping the gun a bit saying its screwed. From memory looking at the picture you posted, it looks like a stock pulley. A bigger wheel is gonna be UNDER driven hence running lower boost (or are you talking about a crank pulley?). Keep in mind that they have electric lockup clutches that free wheel when no power is applied to them from the ECU. SC14 is the same size except deeper (more distance to the rear from the pulley, about 62mm). So if it fits then yay for you but I think you'll find it will hit the engine mount or come very close. If an SC12 is running 10psi then an SC14 will be running 14.5psi (working on sea level and same inlet outlet temperatures for both superchargers and very rough calculations). As you over drive the SC14 the boost pressure is gonna rise somewhat exponentially compared to the SC12.

  8. LPG...good move (but I would have tried to stay EFI). Quoted 110 octane but apparently its dropping :D. Theres a street VL turbo in nsw running low 11s on LPG. and I just realised....now your nickname is wrong. This would be a 1G-GT KE70 :insane:

  13. my celica will get about 400km to 35 litres on the highway. Its about 300km to 35 litres on the city streets. That was with the old motor that was loosing compression (and then died).

  18. zepters are the rims. Not a bolt in job. you will have to modify engine mounts amoung other things. Very few engine conversions are bolt in. Nissans are the go in my opinion. Other guys will have other opinions.
  19. r.e. CA18DET into corolla see this thread http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=202 beautiful install. I would pick CA18 over 4A-GZE. CA18 was mass produced on a larger scale hence cheaper hence easier to get parts for etc etc etc. Turbo 5K...not very good bang for buck. 13B-ts are kinda expensive. 12As were more reasonably priced last time I checked.

  21. believe me its not always about how fast it is. It may have been 18k but I bet its got aircon and other modcons. Id choose my S13 silvia (electric everything) over my celica any day of the week. I kinda got lost in your post too.... hrmm bang for buck. CA18DET. you can pick them up fairly cheap because everyones (well majority) is going SR20 these days. Stand out? RB26DETT. expect to pay about $14,000 for a frontcut Unfortunatly there is no such thing that stands out and is cheap....
  22. theres some nice parts for 2Ts around. eg roller rockers etc etc etc. Well...my 2T died after a ring let go taking a chunk of the crown with it. theres come crap on the bore that Ive hit with sandpaper to see if it would move but it looks like its metal. Probably a full bore out, new pistons job. I think its already 1mm over sized.

  25. I agree. theres been problems in the past with throttle cables jamming on K motors...with several cars crashed so it really isnt anything new to have problems with carburettors. Mind you the same kind of thing could happen to an EFI motor just as easily..... ahh so finally I find some good in cams...
