They're under no obligation to provide quality control (unless its governed by law e.g. baby capsules), it's an entirely optional thing. Mind you if you don't have quality control your product isn't worth the material its made out of. The rods are fit for purpose, they'll hold standard power at least. There will be no implied or expressed warranty for the rods, especially for modified motors. The difference in quality will be in the balance and consistency rod to rod.
I'd love to see the weights of a set of 6 rods for instance and see how close they're weighted (on a NATA certified scale of course). Most manufacturers will match the rods or pistons at the factory. I've got the scale if someones got rods.
