The biggest thrill I get out of driving the Silvia on the street is knowing that I COULD beat most of the cars around me if I wanted, but not actually in the doing it. The only time I ever do it is when I've got no other choice (merging lanes etc).
I know when I was younger there was nothing I wanted to do more than show up the guy in the lane next to me so it must be something that comes with age.
They did but there's slight variations between the two. You're better off using a KE70 K50 if you're putting it into a KE70, going to be a bit of a reach to the shifter otherwise.
The 5spd is an option part so there's no sure way of telling just by the year. Teddy will correct me but off the top of my head its an option in the CS and XX for Australia.
Any reason you went with a PBR brass button over the Exedy ceramic? Ive got an Exedy 5 puk ceramic, much nicer to drive than a brass button!
Going to be a nuts car to drive lol...!
IIRC this only applies to the KE55 K50 box layshaft bearings, not the gears themselves. The update (KE70?) version K50s have a bigger layshaft than the first (KE55) version.
If you can provide photos otherwise I would be very interested to see them!!
No. At the moment we only have the windscreen type banners and as I'm too busy and I haven't been able to pass the stickers over to Teddy yet there wont be any sent for a little while yet.
IIRC it used to be 2 inches. I've got an old hardcopy around here somewhere, I'll try to find it and check.

I didn't find out until today that he passed away on Sunday. Very sad and I'll miss his unique brand of comedy. I decided I'm gonna watch a heap of his clips on youtube tonight.
I especially loved his religion bashing jokes... like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCz0-HY1TLU
"About this time somebody's telling you to get on the plane .... I say f@$k YOU! I'M GETTING _IN_ THE PLANE!! .... There seems to be less WIND in here"
Yes in fact, I have. I despised all workshops until I finally found a good one...about 2 years after the car was "finished".
You'll get used to it. Lower your expectations now to avoid further insult :( ...OK OK Maybe I am a bit of a shithead in the mornings
Considering the S13s run either an R180 (7.2 inch) for non-turbos or an R200 in the turbos (8 inch) how the hell the standard borgwarner (6.38 inch) is supposed to survive for any length of time I'll never know. Even a T series (6.7 inch) wouldn't take it. I've even seen the R200s detonate with 350hp and some sticky tyres.
Cheapest insurance Ive ever had was my TA22 celica. $65/yr 3rd party property! Should have heard me go off when they told me my 4 door KE70 would be $160. Pricks!
