  1. Action shots yay! http://www.sauqld.com/post/events/20080708...ay/IMG_6079.JPG http://www.sauqld.com/post/events/20080708...ay/IMG_6088.JPG
  2. To give you an idea of how fast that kind of lap time is here's some other cars lap times. Supra V8 2WD 0:57.43 (hoosiers, 1400kg, 390kw and god knows how much torque. Is faster now but) P 911 GT3 2WD 0:58.9 911 Turbo S AWD 0:59.77 911 GT2 2WD 1:00.08 VX Clubsport R8 2WD 1:00.23 (This has had some work done too I believe) GT3 RS 2WD 1:01.08 Westfield 2WD 1:01.69 Boxter S 2WD 1:01.74 Future Racer 2WD 1:01.74 BA MK2 GTP 2WD 1:03.24 BF Typhoon 2WD 1:03.36 These lap times are obviously subject to driver ability but I have no doubt that given some laps of practice even a novice racer could cut a sub 1 minute in an R35...
  3. OH GOD IVE BEEN SHOT!!!! Never fear I've got an emergency poncho!!!
  4. The maths is correct. I'd suggest its Toyota's setup of the chassis that makes tyres scrub (diff alignment setup to the left of center) but because of wide tyres not lowering.
  5. 2T-Cs and 3T-Cs are also hemi.
  6. I think Nissans calling Toyota out. Hondas working on a new V10 NSX so whats Toyotas excuse? Theres a few vids of the NSX running around Nurburgring and it sounds very very cool.
  7. And theyre goddamn fken FAST! Insanely fast! On a fairly greasy QR sprint they were lapping in the 57s on STREET TYRES! Not the RE070 run flat option tyres, just Dunlop SP sport 3000s. The car competed at Superlap at oran park on Saturday and they got it back in time for the All Nissan day at QR yesterday. Watching this thing chase down a serious R34 GTR running 500hp was massively impressive! Very stable, flat, calm and in total control. And the shifts are lightning fast! Pic of the car at superlap
  8. I'm pretty sure Redwarf measured up Teddys KE70, did the maths and came up with something like a few MM of offset. Woopie! If you're a fabricator why don't you just piss off the panhard all together and put a watts link setup in.
  9. Or if you want to quote multiple people just click the quote button on each of the posts then hit post reply.
  10. I've just learned that Scania road trucks have 24v eddy brake retarders. Then thinking of retarders I looked up the capacity of the hydraulic retarders of our dump trucks at work. 662kW CONTINUOUS load. The only thing that might screw you with using one of those is a) RPM (gear it down) and b) price. I'll ask works mechanic when I see him next if its possible to get the retarder unit separate from the gearbox. I'm sure there is a dumpy that comes with a separate hydraulic retarder unit. These also have easily varied load (pull a lever or push a peddle).
  11. Not that Rollaclub condones such behavior...
  12. Hrmm...can't think of any mods or admins that have either paid too much or are trying to sell a car for too much so I'd say you're pretty safe. I'd hope we're not that petty either. I think you misunderstood my aim. I'm only here trying to protect the interests of all current and future corolla owners. Sure there's always going to be the $500 bargain but they should be an exception not a rule. But what ever happened to bargaining? If you're happy to pay the asking price so be it. If you're not, bargain. If you're still not... walk away!
  13. The other brake commercial engine dynos use is a water brake. Not exactly sure how they manage to measure HP output however...
  14. Why don't you use an eddy brake like real dynos?
  15. A fool and his money are soon parted... If you want to protect people from being burned how about doing a write up on what to look for when buying a corolla.
  16. You'll have lots of memorys of your cell mate too.... ahh the memorys!
  17. whoa whoa whoa its not like we're asking $10,000 for a bog stock KE70. $2000 for a reasonable condition, roadworthy KE70 is hardly greedy, unreasonable or "taking advantage". If you want to devalue your car when you come to sell it, be my guest, but don't make life hard for other corolla owners.
  18. :D I thought they only ever came with Bosch or NipponDenso? Aftermarket jobbie?
  19. At least he hasnt gone this far yet! http://www.carcoon.co.uk/
  20. Welcome to the new family friendly rollaclub. I'll remove shit from the filter but... Smeg (from wikipedia): but it was a washing machine advert that reminded me of Red Dwarf.
  21. Ask and ye shall receive! [moved]
  22. I suspect these are the words of someone who's never tried a GOOD LSD.
  23. Just don't complain when you go to sell your corolla and find the resale price is shite because everyone devalues them... ;)
  24. Theres a good reason for that...
  25. Provided its a wideband sensor. Narrowband is an absolute waste of time for tuning.
