yewwwww .. new head unit on the way with 3 Pre outs, which means I can get rid of the shitty RCA splitters and run individual RCA cables to each amp, also bought some Rockford Fosgate RCA cables as i heard they are the best money can buy.

looked at the two pics with out reading it at first.. couldnt even pic the difference lmao.. how do you go about getting in the car ? those door popper things? that would suck if you left your headlights on and got a flat battery.

ahk thanks for that ! so they CAN be chrome plated ? i was nearly considering going down the "chrome paint" route as i seen a can of the stuff in repco, is the stuff any good but?

played around today trying to make my dash lights blue to go with the them of the interior I'm pursuing .. i seen a few guys on here buy them LED T10 wedge bulbs to replace the standard bulbs so i had a go at it.. was absolute shit. looking around on ebay and i found these flexible LED strips.. i was going to use them in the boot and hook them up to a door switch and also all through the interior and have them connected to my door switch/interior light switch.. although when i tried it, the wiring didn't like it and all, the LEDs would barely light up, going to run them through a relay when i could be bothered.. so anyways, i thought i would use these in my dash instead as they are ten times brighter than the crappy t10 bulbs.. just tap into these two, although you will need to solder the positive wire into where the t10 bulbs goes pull the thing apart, careful not to snap these plastic clips as they are brittle.. i have two left lol. had to snap the plastic off above the oil pressure light to make it fit.. before and after...

ive noticed a few members here with chrome vents on their ke30/55's and was just wondering do i have to get them chrome dipped or is there some where i can buy them?

got bored and thought i would fit my old vault deville rims to see how it looks.... looks f****g stupid lol. so at the moment i'm thinkin a set of fr17 Simmons with gold centers, if i can find a set :hmm:

stripped an 85amp VN 5.0 Litre Alternator and used the internals of it in my 4k housing, used 8 gauge wire for the charge wire as apparently it can take upto 100amps, and just going to use the old charge wire as the sense wire. though the thing didn't come with the plug for the sense/light wires, so i have to wait till the one i ordered shows up to see how it goes. hoping for at least 14 volt :yes:

hey funny you should update this when you did, as i gave this a go tonight.. and yea i got hold of a vn 5.0 litre alternator (85amp) for 20 bucks and it was a piece of cake doing it, only problem is i didn't have the wiring plug with it.. turns out bosch injector plugs are the same as the bosch alternator, i used a ford EA plug. :P

gunna get some more cable and run 4 gauge cable to all the major points of the car.. chassis/body/engine etc. got all the focals in, 4 channel amp wired up, all pretty lights lol. also killed my alternator in 2 days flat haha.

got the subs in and running.. they sound amazing and make your ear drums rattle etc.. whilst the body doesnt rattle as much as i thought it would thanks to about 80 kilo's of sound deadening... but i'm never gunna be happy lol :rolls: going to put two rockford fosgate subs in it when i get sick of it and want moar loud, and maybe enter it in a sound off at powercruise or the nats or something. i think there is one in nowra soon ?? i still need to make a false floor for the 4 channel amp and trim the whole lot in vinyl, will have to make a bigger alternator soon i think.. have a heap of little things to do like splitting the earths up coming off the battery and running them to the major parts of the car like the chassis, body, engine block etc. and just waiting on my focals to show up which should be tomorrow hopefully. oh and i'm seriously considering buying this 2JZ :yes:
