  1. You could just sand it back but you’ll need to plastic prime any bare plastic before painting, to remove all the paint and start from scratch you can soak the bar in vinegar and bicarb of Soda until the paint softens enough to scrape off, alternatively you can use aircraft paint stripper
  2. If you need any parts I have a few, no panels or trim though
  3. You’ve made someone happy then, I love the wheels and the blue, does this mean you’ll be leaving the Rollaclub or have you got another
  4. I've been following your progress, excellent work, I would say you won't be under powered now lol, I particularly like how neat you have Assembled the wiring harness using heat shrink along the way, Love the lot :), the dyno results will be interesting too, keep it coming
  5. Tyres anyone, seen these Tyres on two B Doubles on the way to Sydney from Taree just north of Bulladelah, befor you ask the passenger took the pic
  6. Welcome, you've come to the right place they know everything about old rolla's on the rollaclub, I to love the KE30 coupes, that silencer on the muffler is a winner haha, that's a good thing drive home, I done pretty much the same thing when I picked my KE20 up from Victoria in Australia and drove it 900ks home, it gives you a chance to get to know them, I noticed in the first photo you joined the circle work club judging by the marks on the road, hehehe
  7. Agree twin 40's they will be better for a street motor, I have a 270 deg cam and twin 4dcoe Webers with 32mm venturies to match my inlet ports of a 3k bigport head on my 5K now, I had 45's on the motor some years ago and It didn't start making power until up in the last half of the rev range, 45's were the 40's seem to rev quicker, I can give you the jetting size for twin 40's on my 5k for a starting point if you like I could dig them up for you,
  8. I have had a similar sound in the past making the noise backing off in gear above 2500 rpm and took ages to track it down, ended up being clutch plate springs loose,
  9. looking good reminds me how mine started, I have been running a Davis Craig and VS Commodore fan teck screwed into the fan shroud "fits perfect" setup for 20 years on mine and it's still going strong, I wonder if the digital controllers would go the distance, cheap enough though, keep up the good work
  10. Name: Greg Car: 1973 KE20 Motor & Driveline: 5K K50 5 Speed CIG 4:1:1 Locker Suspension & Brakes: Stock brakes. Front 2" Lowered King Springs Monroe Gas, Stock Brakes with VH40 booster, Front K-Mac 30mm Competition sway bar, rear has K-Mack sway bar, all have Nolothane Bushing, 63mm lowering blocks with HQ Holden air shocks, I can sit it at just about any hight I like, rear strut brace & home manufactured pan hard rod, Wheels & Tyres: Centrelines 185-65-13 Also change to 13X8 Superlites or Mazda RX4 Steelys with 185 BF Goodies and granny hub caps first pic, and I also have a set of 5 1/2x13 Bathhurst globes for it, Interior: Pretty much stock: Has New door cards front & back fabbed by myself, Smiths vac, volt, and oil gauges, KE25 under dash parcel shelf, Celica TA22 LT centre consol, saas 1 inch steering wheel, Toyota corolla KE20 Factory Optional dash mounted tacho rare as, Pioneer CD 400 watt Sansui amp home made 3 way boxes in the back, snazzy retro brake and strobing indicators in the back window 'sooo coool baby' new carpet still waiting to retrim front seats back to original, Body:Stock except has 72 bonnet don't seem to rust as much as others i've had, resprayed 6 years ago stock tojo yellow. Other: Motor has been fully balanced and blue printed, is as single squish 0 piston motor with twin 40dcoe webers bolted to a 3K worked big port head, hurricane header from Liverpool exhaust centre, 2inch system with hotdog muffler, 4K-E electronic dizzy, GT40 coil with top gun leads, Facet electic fuel pump, VS Commodore thermo fan run off Davis Craig controller, fan fits perfectly in stock fan cowl, , will eventually have TE27 fender flares to fit my 13X8 superlites under so it doesn’t attract mobile disco’s with a government invoice book, Future mods just freshen up the motor with new rings bearings oil pump shimmed, solid lifter conversion ordered 3F solids from Autobarn Taree $8 dollars each, and definitely a good midrange to top end cam grind, head shaved a little and just generally tidy her up again the dreaded cancer starting after 6 years with no garage, will need some attention soon it's not bad has a few little bubbles but best keeping it under control, that just about covers it for now, I want to keep it stock looking for now. Updates: over the past 12 months I've added a SC14 Supercharger, it blows through my Webers which I turbo peeped by adding boost reference lines to the float bowl covers to the planum and rubber cover plate gaskets, buy doing this prevents the floats collapsing under boost, the fuel is supplied with a VL EFI Turbo fuel pump running through a malpiassi fuel regulator, boost retard is controlled by the retard unit on the KM36 electronic distributor, this system works very well with no lean out and truck loads more torque, the charger is mounted onto a slightly modified 7K aircon bracket, I've kept the magnetic clutch on the charger and it runs at 8psi at the moment, eventually the charger will be activated at just after half throttle with a simple no/nc limit switch setup, I do have a 7KE injection manifold but I'm goin to run with this setup for now, while its running sweet anyway, Cheers Greg.
  11. My enology was not directed at the skill involved in drifting nor were any comments directed personally to anyone in this thread, I would give it a go in someone else's car however, Call me what you want and say what you want but I will never insult an individual or put raps on myself , look it's true it's all about choice and we are all entitled to make a choice right, call me old fashioned I like rally and cart racing and chasing consistent lap times and see how long I can keep everything together, hey is that a similarity, Enjoy your drifting, it's all a matter of what turns you on eh! The only joke was Quote "Gay Gay Gay " I supose there could be gay cart or even group A racers, come down to Oran Park I can't make it up
  12. I must say one has to admire your passion for the competitions, No jealousy or hatred intended or involved, at least have a sense of humor, I merely meant that the possibility exists for bias, I can Fly My Kite higher than you and I'm real realy good at if I do say so myself and also with a Yo-Yo
  13. It may well be that Drifters are under the delusion they are related to the sport of Rally Driving in some way and go home at the end of a days drifting thinking that they are involved in a motor sport somehow, whereas rally drivers and fans may well Know the difference, To win at drift you only have to know the judges and to win a rally is, well if you don't know then you are probably Gay eh, we all know the only reason cars were built in the first place was to drive on dirt and it has always been around, and requires the most skilful driving of all “MOTORSPORTS†so I recon if you think drift is sport you probably think flying a kite in the park is sport Gay Gay Gay Gay there I said it :D
