  6. if your talking to me, the motor got shipped from the states to here with a BHG, how long it had had a BHG i don't know... i only needed to get it running long enough to pass roadworthy and i have now sold the motor :)
  7. tomas, valve clearances should be done every 10-20 thousand and yes, you can reuse it, ive never replaced one in my life
  8. try backin the nut off a heap and then winding them down? the thread should be clean winding them down cause the nut would have been keeping them clean. you are obviously adjusting the right ones, ie, the pushrod isnt pusshing against them? while that is very sludgy, i don't see why they wouldnt turn, especially downwards, you could soak them in some solvent and clean the threads up with a stiff tooth brush. i did the clearances on this and didnt have an issue with them not wanting to move, so i find it hard to understand why yours are seized :)
  9. whats the story with the ARP head studs reducing oil feed? is this a common problem with head studs? a 4A thing or are you just plain lucky?
  10. i saw a mazda 3 MPS today heading north on the highway around pimpama, which was a pearl green i think, looked green from some angles and blue from others, just checked the mazda website, can't effin see it, must be custom, or an older model or colour i don't know, but i reallllyyyyy liked it. anyone know what I'm going on about? and why do you ahve to tell them its from an astina, just tell them its grey, they can GTFO if they don't like it :P
  11. haha why are you shaking me? it does have a pearl, i was tryna scare people off from using it, its a bastard to touch up, my sister had one for a while...
  12. ohhhh well that explains it lol ive never seen one over here...
  13. ive never seen that, what ke70s did it come in? overseas DX or something? like parrot said, use proper vaccuum line (its cheap, buy new) don't use something you find around the house cause it will suck in on itself...
  14. the grey on the 90s astinas has a pearl on it
  15. ive never seen that, got photos? but yes, I'm sure its just simple vac line you have to install...
  16. i know the feeling.
  17. ill back chillin all the way, mad fella :)
  18. but increased output will account for the need for more output at idle
  19. mmm, smaller pulley doesnt make sense if you like to rev the motor alot...
  20. and your positive its not diff whine? does it also make the noise on overrun?
  21. just bang a standard one back in there and see what happens, not too hard is it?
  22. considered its not the box?
  23. ah the army, i passed everything except my medical. who would have thought being on medication to control acne (re, i have no acne, but i did, and i if i stop the med it gradually comes back, so I'm on minimal does) so they told me i wouldnt be accepted til i was off the meds. that was over 5 years ago, I'm still on them. glad i didnt end up joining though, got my trade and I'm headin for the mines :D
  24. what did that flywheel end up weighing? the belt shouldnt squeel anyway, alot of motors rev faster without an issue, considered issues with alternator?
  25. I'm lost. tailshaft will have uni joints at each end, and slide clean into the gbox one end, and bolt to the diff the other. some tailshafts will have a bearing in the centre and bolt to the floor of the car but not all. only other bearings will be inside the diff and inside the gearbox... cheers, andy
