whats your plan to stop the wheel spin on the dyno? must be hard to tune if you can't get any load on it on the dyno?
-
you really should keep the charcoal cannister connected...is there nowhere on the 32/36 you can run it to?
-
sounds like a plan, ill let u know when I'm heading out that way and we can organise something :y: is there any chance you could talk to your mate in unzud about 2 door sedan rear quarter glass? I'm just after some to see if i can make it fit, so it really looks factory. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=31059 this thread has the pictures, so you can see the difference of what I'm gonna ahve, and what i will be aiming for, I'm thinking mines gonna end up looking quite a bit like the black one, if all goes to plan :lolcry: if he can find some, i will pay him for them, plus some, plus the post, so long as its less than the 200 it was gonna cost me to get them from the states... cheers, andy :lolcry:

nice work mate, we'll have to catch up some time, i owe ya a 6 pack of your choice or something :y: PM me your new address if you want if you wanna go silly, i could help you out with quite a few 1g parts for cheap, and you could copy my mountings :lolcry: with the turbo i did have, lag was almost non-existant, i reckon it would make an offroad weapon especially tuned right. gotta be better than a baby 1.6 :lolcry:

lol, cameron has the goods its likely they started selling them late 66, but the toyota book will probably say 67 as they were an early release, quite a common thing for many cars

ill prob be there, least i wnt get in trouble for cheering on the bikini contest this year :)

coln, thats a trick up here, industrial estates on thursday nights. undercover cars rock up, park the entries in, then the flashing lights show up and set up full road blocks. over 200 cars defected in one night a while back, i was driving home about 1 in the morning, saw a heap of people walking and they waved me down (1g ke70, big tyres, big front mount etc) telling me to keep my eyes open and to keep away from the estates that night. apparently theyd all had their cars impounded. but as ella said, too low, too loud, atmo BOV and "driving to create excessive noise" are the top cards up here these days. not many cars making enough of a nuisance of themselves missing emissions gear these days. and the cops don't know what year car should what, so as long as its all neat and nothing obviously blocked they usually don't look any further

i tried to rest my knee against the door in my mums mazda 3 today, i couldnt do it without pullin my groin...must have to sit pretty close to the wheel to manage it. being an auto my left leg spent all the time resting against the console...
-
coln, u think cops still notice these days if theres a ball bearing in the hose if its hooked up from one point to the other, most of them would be looking for things they find on more modern engines.. rob, you may be right, but i doubt its much to worry about  i was getting 8L/100km in my old tired 4K ke70 with no EGR and driving it like a hoon.
-
everyones had a cold before, no need to sook on the internet about it
-
yeah, i ran without it, its pointless. just grind it off and weld it up, or put a blanking plate in there.
-
good position if your used to riding a horse... only time i lean my knee against the door is to keep my ass in the seat through twisties.

charcoal cannister catches fuel vapour from the fuel tank, and gets drawn out in the right conditions by the carby when the car is running. don't remove it. one of the things they really will notice is missing if you get pulled up
-
lol, I'm sure japan did that in their last recession. they ended up with some awesome infastrukcha, but also an ass load of debt and didnt dodge the recession. but the infastrukcha is long overdue, can't say its not needed. just seems to be wantonly wasteful spending though, in the name of infastrukcha thats getting on my tits. ie, de-sal plant. said from the start that was gonna be a white elephant

thats not as laggy as i expected, nice straight power rise, anyway of dialing it in to hold peak power a bit better? what cams are they?
-
whens she come on power? running a bit rich? is that to try and stop it from melting, or just keepin the tune safe? must be a monster when it comes on boost :sob:

just clipped it down, and superglued over the top. we have continuity ;) hopefully it works now, will put it back together when I'm done cooking dinner and felix, looks perfect! the product, not you  if this doesnt work, and i have to get a replacement, i think i will order that. thanks :y:
-
yeah, i know about the demister stuff, and found the stuff on google, lots of products, few sources to get it. don't really wanna spend 20 bucks to use something once. currently I'm thinking about holding it down and glueing over the top, might work.... i only need it to test if it works with the ground re-attached, and if i have to order spares, one of those guys might help, at the moment they just keep replying, check out our store, which is no help, then you don't hear from them again... and trav, would have be double sided to work if i used a tape unfortunately.

while the nerds are present, anyone have or know of electrically conductive adhesive? I'm trying to re-stick the click wheel ground in my ipod, without much luck, as no one is any help, and no, a replacement one does not have adhesive on it. not having music i like in the car is starting to grind my gears... apple, and the apple store grinds my gears. you ahve to make an appointment to drop something off for repair. so i told them to shove it and doing it myself. not that hard, just this adhesive issue, which seems to explain why the click wheel wasnt working, either that or i need a new wheel and logic board, which is 45 shipped from the states, or 200 for apple to do it after you make a booking to check your item in. get farked apple, you grind my gears, smug wanker pricks

while we're talking firefox vista and XP, whats with the massive page file usage i get from firefox. my comp will idle around 350, with a few firefox tabs will go to over 700mb PF usage easy, and sometimes over a gig, and yes, it lags the shit out of my comp, but explorer just freezes and crashes way to often. can't work out why i get so much shit written to page file, have 2 gig of ram... thats basically the only reason I'm tempted to reformat at the moment... and towe, where abouts in your back? i get a similar thing around the shoulderblade/rib region, its a muscular thing, get it when I'm really pushing hard on something, and then just breathing hurts for a few days. but if youhad a good position i dunno how you managed it, mines from pushing as high on a wall as i can, while reaching the other hand down to nail the brace to the ground, always good for muscle strains.. i know how you feel with the toilet duties, you just hope its a clean job with not too much paperwork :y:

do i really have to PM you? all i want is a night of unfulfilling meaningless sex and a large hangover in the morning, what will this cost me, and when are you available for pick up?
-
buy a new thermofan, if it was hard wired, its probably burnt out, they don't like constant running. then wire it up, as per diagram, if not theres a good diagram on toymods to help you out. if not, as said, track down a thermofan, at worst, you can open them up, flush them out and refill them with silicon oil available from toyota. well you can with a nissan diesel 4.2, so i don't see why you can't with a K motor :)
-
microguess are shit, good work on selling it, I'm amazed people pay money for them... go motec or haltech. is it worth pissing aroung with standard ECU and having it run rich and not be versatile to suit what you wanna do, or just get it tuned and make better power across the board and have versatility for future mods...
-
i fail to see how vista is easier for networking than XP. XP, you just run the wizard and its done. vista might be alright vista to vista, but its a bit ridiculous, you must rename all computers to this workgroup name etc etc, like, why couldnt they leave the default workgroup name the same and those issues would not be present. but i think thats computers in general, change for the sake of change
-
ive got one of those :) its like, 6 or 7 years old, just running XP, cost me 900 or so bucks, I'm afraid to upgrade haha, hate vista, only reformatted this ones, and upped ram and hard drive, thats it :)
