  1. Pecky, ye will probably just cut tunnel to fit gearbox and maybe a bit of firewall to move it back a tiny bit more. Haven't actually seen the box yet, still have to have a look at it. And Rian I think the rust that got repaired was in the roof, but will see when the outside of the shell is stripped, still thinking about sandblasting it... And will just make up some aluminum door cards, found heaps of it at work.
  2. Rust isn't as abd as it looks but will see once I get the windows out, but that is pretty much the worst of it. Wasn't there some rust in the roof or something that got "repaired"?
  3. That sounds like its pretty much all you need, might need a stronger diff but if your keeping N/A should be fine.
  4. So very little has changed since these pictures, but I should be getting some rx7 front brakes this week slap them on and then will be ready to go to a mate from works place to start the conversion. Still unsure if I will remove firewall to move the engine back further, will see when time comes to it, I do know that radiator support will probably be cut out and make a new removable one for easy access if the engine ever needs to come out.
  5. Ah wow thought it would have been colder.
  6. I'm sure your summer would be similar to our winter here.
  7. WGMG, our ʞ©$ɟing wanker of a service adviser on nightshift whom seems to think getting stoned and then speeding in a customers car sounds like a good idea to him. I am seriously over this place.
  8. Ye that is his car saw it at work, the company (well Gordon) can afford to buy a 3/4 million dollar car but can't afford some more lights for us on nightshift.
  9. Its Gordon Scifleet's the mechanic who works on it brought it into the workshop. Actually did it have a rego plate on it? might of actually been for sale haha.
  10. If I have my car done by then (very, very unlikely) I would be keen for a drive down to compete.
  11. I know a guy here in brisbane used to buy old cressidas cheap as ʞ©$ɟ and then slapped some new paint on and fixed up few bits and sold them back to japan for 3 sometimes 4 x than what he paid for them plus th cost of the paint!
  12. Brett on here is putting a honda S200 engine and box? into a ke70 panel van.
  13. Looks great!! Something very different from the usual drift car! My T18 with a std 3t would slide big track here at queensland receway alright, and it had a steering box, just needed stupid entry speeds haha.
  14. Got my old one to 7k with 315xxxkms only did it once though as it didn't sound too good haha.
  15. 4afc are dohc 16v, just scissor driven cams though.
  16. ʞ©$ɟ, I had a steering box and it still felt alright haha.
  17. Thought he meant only gearbox at first, which would have sounded possible as I think corollas did have same gearbox as an old holden as well.
  18. Exactly.
  19. You don't need power steering for a track car and that will be all this car will be. Even though it is only very little stuffing around its too much stuffing around for how often you will be driving it the only time you will need to go slow is driving in the pits and possibly when driving it on an off a trailer. And is also not a necessity for when going fast, have you ever drifted with a ke70 with a standard rack? Have you ever driven a ke70 with a locked diff? Its not that bad I had my diff locked for a bit over 4 months when I had it registered and was no harder to steer than it was with the LSD or even when I first got it with an open center.
  20. Try some MA61 supra wheels can be had cheap and not hated on like fake wheels.
  21. Exactly PS is not needed might make a difference when your driving it in the pits for a whole minute but I see no other reason why you would need power steering. But hey its up to you, its your car and goodluck with it.
  22. Not really much of a problem if you are only drifting it. PS isn't really needed all the nissan blokes are just pussy's haha. And why do you need bigger brakes for a drift car? Good luck though, I am just keeping things simple with mine though. All in all though I just hate the thought of nissan parts in my car haha.
  23. just std 1uz rubber engine mounts on a ke70 crossmember. Too much stuffing around with s13 stuff IMO, but thats up to you, are you doing everything yourself?
  24. Why are you using a S13 crossmember with a 1uz? Too much work for very little gain if you ask me I am doing same engine conversion as you and am just using a ke70 crossmember with adjustable lca's and making the mounts on that crossmember with a rack spacer and kelway steering arms, honestly wheels are the last of your worries and should be the last thing you will need to worrie about.
  25. Nice progress, much more so panel wise than me haha. I should have my engine mounted soon :)
