Ah they actually went over the whole car? was it a copper or a transport officer? How big was the list? haha. Mine was that bad they said just go to transport to get it inspected if I wanted to keep it on the road.

This thing couldn't be too bad, when I got defected in my T18, I had a locker, no dash, no interior other than front seats, dash instrument cluster was just zip tied to the front of the car, had just sanded decent sized rust bubbles back to metal. But then I pretty much just said I was going to deregister it the next day because of the 1uzfe conversion.

I used specs when setting up the diff for an old hilux.

So got defected on the weekend only got "Driving defective vehicle" But had to bring it to transport to get inspected so just deregistered it, and started pulling it apart for 1UZ conversion, front end is all off except for bonnet and engine, inside is all out just steering column and a bit of sound deadening thats left to remove. Wiring is getting there on the lexus, but so much shit there to remove to get it all out.

Toyotas in general seem to be one of if not the easiest cars to work on, especially something like an old ke70. -

As above is 100 percent right, when I was a first year I was getting $6.70 an hour and all the people bringing their car in for a service were paying something like $120 +GST an hour, even when I will be qualified in a month still only getting about 17% of that amount.

13's will fit over front AE86 JDM brakes.

Pretty sure T18 box needs to be modified as T18 has a straight steering shaft with no uni joint as it is not needed for a steering box where as e7's have a uni joint in the steering shaft for the rack which results in the clutch pedal having more of a kick out so to say to make room for the shaft.

yep bought a 1uz just got whole car which means I can use alot of the little bits and pieces that come with a conversion, and the whole car cost $1200.
