  1. ^^^^^^ yep I have 2 models of SSR mk2 one are older original ones that use shank wheel nuts and others are a newer tyre that use normal wheel nuts, they are both SSR mk2's both same size and width 13x8, except the older ones have more to seat the bead onto on the inside so even the 165/70 13 was not very hard to fit on just put on and get it sitting on one side nice and tight and just pull up the other side till it seals and done. The newer ones are a bit harder though less area to grab on to.
  2. Rav 4's and new model corollas have a chamfered edge on the pads from new and when they get to about backing plate thickness that edge is gone and they make a horrible noise like metal on metal type noise but are still good, this maybe the problem?
  3. I'd say that may be for the manifold as they have a plastic intake plenum not a full manifold like older efi.
  4. I have been told that someone gave you a few of stuffed 2az engines :) Good to see your back onto the project! Maybe ask one of the guys on toymods that put a 2GR in a ke70, might be a better engine? or you want to keep it 4cyl? Although the 2AZ certainly pulls the camry around alright, not too good on fuel though but ours has about 260000kms on it.
  5. I just do mine at work :) put some 165/70R13 on my 13x8 mk2's haha.
  6. and say goodbye to your rear tyres, rear bushes and keep some spare axles (unless you know somewhere you can get a axle quickly)
  7. Wait so it just starts by itself? even when your not there? haha.
  8. The genuine pads probably would have had metal sequel plates but most people don't keep them when replacing with aftermarket pads. Don't need to sand the pads just rough up the pad surface on some smooth cement, just lightly press on the pad in a figure 8 and that will scuff up the pad surface enough, doesn't need much, then if you really want get the rotors machined if they are within the minimum thickness.
  9. TE27 steering arms with AE86 struts and JDM brakes or rx7 there are too many to choose from.
  10. Just get an LSD especially if you will be driving on the road.
  11. does your choke turn off? or is it still staying on? I get about 7-8L/100kms with a 38/38 weber on my 3t and that is driving over the mountains here keeping it at/over 5k rpm all the time.
  12. ive got KC metric only tool kit and is very good! but starting to buy snap on stuff for work and bringing all the still very good KC stuff home :)
  13. AE86 springs will not fit in TE72 struts. Ive tryed.
  14. I did something stupid tonight at work!!!!! had to do an rear axle bearing on a new model hilux 4x4 and got it all apart was a c**t of a thing to get the ABS ring off, did all that yesterday was waiting on parts and put it back together today and was thinking why the backing plate was not staying on!!! then pressed it all back together and remembered that it goes in between the studs that bolt to the diff housing! so had to pull it all apart again!! We get lots of people come in that put diesel instead of petrol and vice versa. Had a 100 series land cruiser on wednesday that where complaining about the brakes not working, so brought it in and found it had no fluid lifted it up ion the air and could see one of the rear brake pads had worn down that much that it had fallen out of the caliper so up for new rear rotors, caliper (whole thing had been ground down) so not too costly but we did all that and also found that it had been over 6 months since the brakes had stopped working and that it had lost all the fluid so we did all that and then the brakes where still shit so found that the electric master cylinder was also stuffed which is a $3000 part! so don't let your brakes get too low!!
  15. any new cars are all shit! even new hilux's once they have a few k's on them (only around 150k+) they start to get things wrong with them.
  16. T18's must have more clearance on the rear or something, I have 13x8 neg13 offset with 185/60 tyres and they fit fine no scrubbing. Also have same on front but have neg3 camber and lotso castor :)
  17. I had a 70cc 2 stroke on one of those choppers rode it for nearly 2 years to work before I got pulled over then only got told not to ride it again, was good fun then I bought another one recently a cruiser type bike with a Honda (copy) 49cc 4 stroke, but ended up getting a motorbike license, but there good fun and anyone that wants to buy one in brisbane obviously don't need mine so I can sell it to anyone, cheap!
  18. Make a cage not really too hard we made one for a mates VK race car (full cage inc intrusion bars and everything), you would be surprised there are very little bends in some roll cages. Might be putting one in mine :) only if this engine is put in though.
  19. probably, haha. Not that I remember much of it, it was probably 3 years ago now.
  20. Exactly, if whoever posted that new anything about toyota history they would know that. I had to sit through a 2 hour toyota history video as part of work when I started there haha.
  21. its just the way they emit light in std h4 lights they don't work properly.
  22. Like the new colour! Don't like HIDs in headlights that wernt ment for them though like everysilvia that has them coming the other way on the road blinding you, its pretty annoying.
  23. Yep lots of people run much more offset than that, I have 8" wide -13 with corona lcas
