  1. Got everything to get engine running, radiator from the lexus just fits, got all wiring, ecu, even throttle cable everything to get it running! Car also had full service history with only 165000kms on the clock.
  2. OK so my T18 so far has cost me - Around $1000 for a very good shell (sold off engine T series diff and few other bits originally was 2k when I first bought it) The diff I have built my self ended up costing just under 1k (including disc brakes) It is a hilux G series Diff - $400 Rotors - $150 Calipers - $150 Caliper brackets - $60 Plus the time it took me to cut all the mounts of an old diff I got for free, clean them up and weld them all on, and still need to make a tailshaft and get it balanced. Engine ended costing me absolutely nothing! $0, FREE! But it took 2 months to get the money back for it as I bought a whole Lexus LS400 with a 4L 1uzfe for $1200 then pulled the engine out and sold off every thing else cheap so got a free engine. Then I decided to get a good gearbox setup, which consits of a Richmond close ratio and 1:1 5th gear 5 speed box with custom bell housing, flywheel and 2 clutches 1 from a nascar the other from a V8 supercar, This all cost 2.5K though so not cheap but because the engine ended up costing me nothing I didn't mind. Then the suspension - Coilovers and rear shocks - $1300 Front brakes - $700 (T3 wilwood setup) bigger swaybars - $200 So there is 2k there as well. Fuel setup - Tank from work from a yaris $Not sure yet ill see how much Fuel cell foam $not much maybe $50 Surge tank, lift pump and fuel pump $200 Roll cage - about 1.5k Then there was about another 1K in other little bits and pieces.
  3. Once diff oil gets into the bearing it is recommended to replace the bearing as well as a new seal.
  4. If you want them lower buy proper rails.
  5. Exactly, surely the car didn't need the radiator that soon!
  6. Y engine found in toyota commercial vehicles :)
  7. Yeah, 86 and ke70's I am pretty sure have same strut tops but yeah loose a bit of castor using 86 ones. Pretty sure only series 1 TE72 (T18) and earlier (pre ke70) corollas have the equilateral triangle, I also think pre T18 may have a larger equilateral triangle pattern.
  8. Obstruction of drivers view something like that, haha just kidding but could probably get away with that being a dealer fitted aftermarket option?
  9. Yeah I don't know, the ones here look pretty ah... not good, haha. The place running it uses their own cars though but I am sure you could use your own. But if you are talking about just a drift practice day pretty sure it would be the same as what we have here in QLD which is you just use your own car on the track, no instructors or anything.
  10. That's a defect! Seriously though probably would get one the way things have been going lately.
  11. He hasn't been too much help to you so far haha.
  12. That should go well!
  13. I would be sick of it, just take them to a suspension place and say make these bushes fit these control arms.
  14. Pretty sure you can't have intrusion bars for street cage? And also heard of rules getting stricter once NCOP comes in making it harder to mod plate things.
  15. Just keep it.
  16. Why do you need an electric one? Or is your mechanical one stuffed and just seeing if the price is around the same for an electric setup?
  17. T engines sound good with a cam too :)
  18. Wow thats pretty expensive for a ke70, but does look good though!
  19. I know you can't have V8 but if you wanted real old school (forgot the engine code) the old toyota V8s that look like 2 3ts bolted together haha. But a 3T can go well, mine out of my T18 went well enough to spin 3rd gear at QR with 120km/h entry's, and all I had was an exhaust with extractors and a double pumper weber which would have made ʞ©$ɟ all difference maybe 5 hp if I was lucky. If you go with any of the above engine and keep them aspirated the std borg warner of a T series should hold up fine and then T50 should be alright as well.
  20. Pretty sure you will need to shorten it but there may be one that is the right length, I think they are 1410 standard I got a hilux diff for mine which is the right width. Why do you want a F series? How much power are you making? I might have a spare hilux diff the right length that should bolt it (not sure if the leaf mounts are the same though)
  21. I may be keen if I end up buying a car by then :) and will probably be some sort of 4x4 but will probably be toyota :) (would have rode but sold the bike this morning :) I went for a ride up there one day just followed cobb and co tourist drive was a good ride, I love nice long stretch of highway myself :)
  22. What I said? Nah mate you can still get lots of nos parts from toyota still even old TRD stuff, can get nearly all of the TRD range springs and shocks for ae86, still brand new from Japan.
  23. Yellow pages, look for an engineer that can do cars, call him up and talk to him or maybe her? There was some hotrod place in brisbane I think it was that mod plated a mates roll cage when know one else would for some reason? Ill try to see where he was, he comes to you as well I think.
  24. Satin is better IMO, and can look good if you do it yourself, even my floorpan that I painted black that had barely any prep actually looks quite good. Will cost around 2k for a cheap one for a panel shop to do it or spend that money on a decent compressor and decent gun and paint is pretty cheap.
  25. No idea for above, but if you can get a part number take it to toyota and you should be able to get it, for $$$ though :)
