  1. Won't be able to fit std brake booster in with the 1uz anyway so will need some custom stuff anyway. Mounts are easy to make I just modded a ae71 xmember to change the angle the steel mounts on the xmember are.
  2. If you come to the all Jap day on Sunday it's around the corner from my place if you want to grab these parts.
  3. Yeah wonder if you could do that here with the exhaust, haha.
  4. Good luck I'm putting one into my T18, fair bit of work involved, no room for brake booster, but that's the least of your problems, haha.
  5. Oh yeah I know that, haha. Roll cage will bring that price up, haha.
  6. The celsior I bought for the engine once I took engine, loom and what not I made nearly $200 parting it out.
  7. Also forgot to incude wheels cost about another $1000 plus $600 in new tyres. Want to get slicks for other actual racing so there's another $600ish a tyre or something.
  8. I have roughly spent 7k on my car so far, not much else needed to get it going other than some lights for oil pressure and whatnot, and some wire for the rest of the car. But, it's a track only car so a bit cheaper in some areas, still want to get a full cage later on so ad another $500-3k for that.
  9. As said buy one already half done cheap.
  10. Can find a hilux diff that should be short enough to use in the 55, otherwise a R31 diff is cheap and easy to get shortened. Plenty of suspension upgrades, have a look around and it can be made to fit but easy to keep to corolla stuff, ae86 stuff may bolt in.
  11. Yeah, even then still budget at least around 10k +-5k depending on what engine and how much you can do yourself.
  12. Need brackets off them as well or make some.
  13. Has been done in RWD form before, not sure about in a ke70 but would be similar to a 20v into ke70 just more expensive, not sure what gearboxes they use in them, they use them in the lotus replica kit car things. Budget about 10k including suspension, brakes and maybe a diff upgrade if you make enough power. And that's if you can do pretty much all of it yourself.
  14. Should look good, will get extra points at DS meets?
  15. Nah, sold it a couple of weeks back, but I messaged him when he was first looking for a car, he needs cheap, like very dirt cheap, haha.
  16. Revs check will tell you the last known km's. But even then I told the guy at my work when I first regoed my T18 it was 12x,xxxkms but he just wrote what he saw on the odometer at the time, but last known kms could give you some idea depending on what it was last time, I.E last odo reading was more than what it is now.
  17. Wow didn't look at the link that's a bit dear, yeah get onto the bloke on here selling mounts.
  18. I would love to build a ke20 streeter/track car, with a built 3t or something would be pretty cool.
  19. On the E quote here - https://www.service.transport.qld.gov.au/eQuote/eQuoteResults.jsp You have to select 5 (vintage) on the CTP class to get the big discount.
  20. In Victoria, yes. They get a permit for either 45 or 90 day pass, you can drive the car wherever which pretty much means you can use it as a weekend car, or use up all your days in first half of 12 months then do some work on it later.
  21. FWD aren't as bad as people think, not as easy as a hilux or landcruiser, but still easy none the less, toyotas at least. But that said I would still rather a landcruiser or hilux, hiace would have to be the easiest clutch to do, ever, haha. But everything else on them is stupid, haha.
  22. We have scales at work on our wheel alignment testing machine that mate from work uses to corner weight some track cars.
  23. My T18 has been just over a year of love and hate, anything mechanical, bit of fab stuff I can do fine and most of the time enjoy and really get into and get it done, get a bit over it and take a break for 2/3 weeks then get back into it for another couple of months. Been love and a bit of hate and one, only one thought of parting it all and selling my tow car I bought to buy a house, but I thought as above wouldn't make back the huge hours I have spent on the car, it's in the final stages just so many little things to go! That brings me to this DO NOT underesimate the time, money and effort involved in these little things, I have spent more time on all these little bits and peices than making engine mounts, gearbox and customising the diff to fit, and probably just as much money on little bits add up. I have a rough price of what I have spent on the car but I don't want to know how much in the end because it doesn't really matter to myself aslong as it does what I built it for and I enjoy it, some people say why spend so much on it, then I say to them why do you go out on the weekend and spend $4, $5, $600 in one night at clubs and they say to have fun, well that's why I am building this car. Try not to part the car out, because chances are you don't finish one you won't finish another, my car has taken a while I think because of my job to be honest, I'm not too happy there working on other peoples cars all day then work on mine if I feel like it, money as well is the other reason.
