  1. Actually I have a old set of front coilovers I'm sure you could make work if you come to Brisbane mate.
  2. If you are lucky enough T18 factory wheels are 6" and 13's (factory size is 185/70 R13), but not very common maybe see if you could get some celica wheels? Might be wider or some 14's might be better with a 185/60.
  3. Yeah that looks like one I saw with flares bolted on the std flares, haha. Looks odd and the car looks nearly as high as my landcruiser, haha. I am getting 15x10's for the rear of mine but yes have big flares.
  4. My other T18 I just sold had 380xxx on it and still ran very well.
  5. Should've just told them you work for Sci fleet and need to pick up a car urgently for a customer? haha I'm sure you would have some old shirts somewhere. Also we need a new night shift supervisor Teddy :)
  6. Can get real early hilux diff that should be good for a 10.
  7. That's on a wet road any car would just about be able to do that, but I understand.
  8. Hey only just missed your call, put my phone on silent before I go to sleep because of the odd hours. I can't see any problem removing the oil cooler/warmer but I'll ask one of the guys at work and see what they say, but yeah can't see it being a problem. Also that engine still has a Japanese oil filter on it, not the Taiwanese ones they sell at work, haha. Not much difference between the 2.
  9. Should just keep the 30 in there if a good job has been done, put a turbo on or a rb25.
  10. That should fit fine on the rear with 195 wide tyres and maybe need a slight roll on the front guards.
  11. S13 front is easy, but stick with toyota stuff for better handling, a lot of people have no issues with the s13 stuff in the front though.
  12. I can't see why none where brought in by Toyota to Australia the celicas had T engines so I can't have seen any problems with them bringing them in, probably just no market for them when they were being made. The TE's had the T series Banjo diffs, T engines and whatnot. I never had any problems with my 3T in regards to reliability and it copped nearly 9k rpm with just a 38/38 weber and an exhaust, only problem I ever had was the dipstick popping out sue to so much pressure when revving to said 9k rpm, so just used an extension spring to keep it put, only reached those rpms on downshift, but was very reliable and a lot of fun, would be even more fun in a lighter chassis like a ke1x/2x I would love to build a 200ish hp 3tc to put in one.
  13. I cut out the floor in the T18 made a frame welded to rails to hold fuel cell under car and lift it half way through floor with the undercar surge tank. Put a new floor in cut hole for cell and boxed it up with a removable lid, can't just leave it open for CAMS events and well I wouldn't want to anyway, haha.
  14. You have to use same cw+p or get the 2 you want to use lapped.
  15. Wow this is pretty cool and you seem to have your mind set. Are you planning to do the lap in a holden to keep it fair? If so I know of alot of people that have built a quick older commodore here for around 5k. Otherwise I have a 2 door TE72 for same, haha.
  16. Yeah there is the DX? one like Chris posted above. Which are similar, makes me want to put my chrome bars off my white T18 on my red one and see what they look like.
  17. Strip back the paint and see what it looks like find someone who can weld it up for you if you don't have the skills, chamfer the edges of the crack and then weld it.
  18. Pretty easy I measured up my 1uz compared to a 308 and it'll fit easy, but if you want any power cheap just go a 350 chev cheaper to get more power. But yeah probably won't be able to get a mod plate to drive it anywhere other than track. Will still be alot of work and I would say you'd have to spend somewhere around 10k if you want to do it all properly.
  19. Holy shit Teddy, haha. sounds like you want all the modern little things in that car! Should just buy a written off kluger or something like that that has rear A/C actually my celsior had rear a/c and are dirt cheap too, could buy a car for 1k sell engine for that and use all the little bits off it?
  20. Good to hear Teddy! hope it brings you enjoyment and you are proud of your work it is like a piece of art.
  21. Like whoever owns that nissan painted the whole thing in that rust paint shit, even the plastic? bumpers! Looks stupid, really if you want the rust look get a ʞ©$ɟing rusty car out from some farm if you want that look.
  22. For rwc something like that would pass, it's pretty much only if you have gaping holes and bad rust in structural areas.
  23. At least they work now! Tell teddy he should have just called Rob from nightshift for a roadworthy, haha.
