^I've never used/seen/heard anything about the Tradetools jacks but I know that Autobahn jacks are shit, Supercheap jacks are shit (Repco jacks are probably shit too). I'd buy a brand name one that you can get rebuild kits for, I've seen a few cheap ones fail and people just buy new jacks because no one carries any parts for them. The one I've been using recently is like 40 or 50 years old and the company is still doing seal kits for it! I would tell you what brand it is but I don't know, it hardly has any paint left on it lol.

I love seeing all the weird bikes in the parking lot at uni, I often see Z50s, cafe racers, postie bikes with engine swaps etc. I saw this at uni the other day: Honda Ruckus with some kind of engine swap and a huge driveline upgrade, the wheel on the back is 8" wide! Edit: I should add that the seat only came up to my knee... it's very low.

Edit: Beat me to it^ KE70s use cables to control all the cabin air vents and heater. Look under the dash all follow the cables (the look like brake cables from a bike) from the control panel to where they hook on to the levers that open and close the ducts. the one that controls the defroster has likely come off.

Performance Wheels are available everywhere and are cheap enough to buy new, but the Hurricanes that you are after only come in 14x8 -10 and will not fit under standard guards unless they are flared.

^this, get the hydraulic/brake shop to flare if for you. Last time I went to the brake shop I think it was $5 per flare.

I bet you have a hole in the seal inside the master cylinder. If you try and stop really fast the brakes should work, but holding your foot on the brake pedal or slowly coming to a stop you will lose all the pressure inside the master cylinder and the brakes will no longer work. I'd say pull the master cylinder apart and have a look.

I like your tacho dash mod and all the braided lines. If you don't mind my asking, what brand is your thermostatic sandwich plate? And what are you doing about regulating the fuel pressure, external reg? I'm interested because I also want to upgrade to braided lines for my fuel and oil systems.
