  1. Way too short for a KE70. And if it's for a 4age then you can just put a loop in the KE70 cable and it will work. EDIT: No idea what it looks like at the firewall bracket/pedal end.

The car has been in that shed for 14 months! But it does drive, I've had it out of the shed many times in the past few months for testing/skids in the rain. The conversion is almost completely finished and the car will be on the road soon ;). The only reason it's taken so long is that I hardly ever get to work on it because it's so far away from me. Thanks man. Have you got yours wired yet?

Did a few things recently: - fitted new 2" exhaust system - cured the paint on the exhaust system - fitted AE71 radiator - made a bracket for the external thermostat housing - fixed an annoying fuel issue that I had - found a broken vacuum line in the TVIS system, replaced it and gained an extra 6.3x1010 RWKW - DID NOT GET TO BRING IT BACK TO BRISBANE!!! GRRRRR I found a problem in the thermo fan switch circuit, I must have removed a wire somewhere when I cleaned up the wiring loom because the thermo fan does not turn on. I'm going to wire the fan again from scratch because I can't be bothered going through the original wiring to find the problem  Shitty phone pics: Really needs a wash too!
  4. Fixed.
  5. Wheels are spot on man! And $1050 is very cheap. Just needs to be lowered now.
  6. It sounds like your alternator is the problem, you can get it tested at just bout any auto store.
  7. You probably wired the circuit the wrong way around, you'll probably find the thermo fan will turn off when the car gets to the temp where the thermo fan would normally turn on. But I'm not sure, it's hard to say without seeing it. Make sure you have used the correct pins on the relays. Can you draw a wiring diagram of how you wired it? Here's is what you need: http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/tech-conversions/95-guide-how-wire-up-thermofans.html
  8. +1 for vacuum leak.
  9. WGMG: Drive all the way down to Byron bay to get my car and bring it back to Brisbane on an unregistered vehicle permit, and this happens: - Finally bolted up my recently painted, brand new exhaust system. - Was running the engine at idle as per the instruction from VHT for curing the high-temp paint. - After about 20 minutes the engine starts spluttering and missing then stalls. - I freak out thinking I've caught Peanut-Bait Disease (RC regulars will know). - I try and crank it over again. - Engine doesn't start. - Freak out again. - Spray "start ya bastard" into intake. - Engine starts! - Realise I'm having a fuel issue. - Pull fuel line off the fuel rail and crank engine over. - No fuel... - Find massive kink in fuel line after surge tank but before EFI pump. - cbf fixing it. - Goes inside to drink beer instead. Will pull the surge tank out and fix it tomorrow.
  10. Here is a post I made a long time ago about Commodore rear dampers: And here is the link to the thread: http://www.rollaclub...kings-plz-help/
  11. This is worth viewing, but the guy is an absolute dickhead:
  12. Did you remove/unplug the aircon from the car at any point? This causes the fan to come on constantly. AE92 thermo fan switches are a normally-closed switch, check the new switch you installed with a multimeter to make sure it is actually a normally-closed switch or to make sure that it's not faulty. Any break in the thermo fan switch circuit will cause the thermo fan to come on, you just need to find where the circuit is broken.
  13. VL to VS Commodore rear shocks will "fit" the rear of a KE70, but do some research before you choose as there are many different shock lengths available for all those models of Commodore. They will all be super stiff in a KE70, but I'd say the FE2 versions would most likely be the stiffest. The rear springs out of a Commodore won't fit in the rear of a KE70 properly unless you cut them, and then they won't fit properly because you've cut them. Try looking for some AE86 lowered springs.
  14. Just bolt the master cylinder to the firewall?
  15. Good on you Reed, you're a good guy. pic related
  16. His face!! I loled so hard!
  17. If you strapped two of them side by side it would almost be a car!
  18. Are these engines turbo?
  19. Will try my hardest to have it on the road, I want it on the road before uni starts on the 25th.
  20. I'm unsure about where it earths, but it wouldn't be too hard to find. Try following the earth side of the wiring that comes out of the headlights. And here is a wiring diagram to help you out, it's actually for a T18 but they are probably the same: (click it to make it bigger)
  21. Sweet! I hope you don't get any more problems.
