  1. Loving the driving lights! And that 2 door is incredible, you should get some wheels like that for yours ;)
  2. ^the brown car isn't going to make the cruise btw, but I'll come in the blue one.
  3. So wise, this is why apple can suck a dick.
  4. I totally forgot about the Samsung Galaxy! I'm guessing you bought it outright? I did some quick research, Galaxy 2 looks pretty dope and is more in my price range (zomg smartphones are expensive! Galaxy 3 4G is like $700, I'd so rather spend that on new wheels) This sounds more like it. I've had a Nokia for the last 6 or 7 years so I don't really want anything too flash, I really just wnt to be able to do internet stuff and maps. I've got a $18 "BYO phone" TPG plan that is equivalent to most $70 iphone plans, so I really want to steer clear of plans that include the phone, especially when plans go for 2 years and replacing a phone is way to expensive if you ever break a phone that is still on a plan. Thanks for the input Luke, I'm definitely keen on Gorilla Glass (I can't understand why this isn't used in every phone?) so I'll probably go and check out an S2.
  5. Okay so I need to get a new phone, can someone suggest a good smartphone? (but not an iphone because they're dumb) I've been thinking about getting a Nokia Lumia or HTC, something with Gorilla Glass or whatever it's called. Opinions on buying phones outright vs being on a plan? Buying off the internet vs from a store? 4G vs 3G? Windows vs Android? I basically just want to use it for calling/internet shit/maps, nothing fancy really. Any input would be swell.
  6. Pretty sure the interior plastics are not painted but just coloured plastics? Anyway, there's no need to sand them back if they haven't been painted before. And the surface of the interior plastics is not flat but dimpled, so you probably wouldn't be able to sand it properly anyway unless you want a smooth finish. Just clean the surface really, really well with a scotch-brite pad then wax and grease remover, and definitely use a plastic primer/plastic adhesion promoter or whatever it's called. Then you can paint over it. Yes it's a rattle can job. EDIT: this may help you: Skip the intro because it's heaps lame.
  7. Nahhh just kidding, I actually like your car. Especially the 4AG + XT130 coilover part.
  8. lolololololololololololololol :harhar:
  9. Try this guy: http://www.rollaclub...-mounting-kits/
  10. Tube front end? Balls!
  11. That's cheap! is it AS1698?
  12. ^Too legit to quit!
  13. The first link has everything you need to wire a bigport 4AGE into a KE70, but it takes a while to figure out which wire is which.
  14. 1st pic: not sure? Don't think I used it in my conversion. 2nd pic: TVIS plug. 3rd pic: big white 2 pin plug: black wire with white trace connects ignition barrel to starter motor. Thick white wire I'm pretty sure connects to AM2 on the ignition barrel. All the other plugs: I'm not sure, but I don't think I used any of them in my conversion. Also, you seem to be missing the third ECU plug. If you need to find one, SV21 Camrys share the exact same ECU plugs. EDIT: if you haven't already got them, you'll need these: http://www.rollaclub...Wiring_Diagrams http://www.rollaclub...ies/ECU_Pinouts
  15. - If you want to do a conversion for cheap, I wouldn't attempt a 13B conversion. 4AGE will always be cheaper than 13B - You can do a 4AGE swap for much less than $10 000, if you do all the work yourself you could probably do it for $4000 - You're right, 16 valve 4AGEs are old and nothing special, however 20 valve 4AGEs are a fair bit newer and a lot more powerful in stock form - If you're not worried about costs, and you have the skills or you know people with the skills, then do the 13B swap. I'd say it's not a very common conversion in KE70s because everything will need to be custom/upgraded, whereas a 4age will basically bolt in with the right parts - If you bought a wrecked RX8 there's not really all that much you could use from it in a KE70. There is the engine and gearbox, but everything else would need to be custom: custom engine crossmember/mounts, custom gearbox crossmember, custom tail shaft, upgraded diff/custom diff mounts possibly, upgraded struts with upgrade brakes, custom cooling system, new exhaust system, upgraded fuel system, hopefully you don't have to mod the steering to clear the engine or gearbox. Not trying to put you off it, but there is so much work and money involved, you would basically be modifying or changing every single part of the car other than the shell and interior.
  16. Man, this thing is so nice to look at.
  17. Wheels have changed...
  18. Take the alternator back to Repco. Make sure you get a 4AGE alternator, any 16v 4AGE alternator should fit but don't waste your time trying to make 4AFE, 7AFE, 4AC etc alternators fit, and don't waste your time trying to "RWD" your alternator either. Also, if Repco can't figure it out then get in contact with Golberg off AE86DC, he sells genuine Denso alternators: http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/showthread.php/74048-Genuine-Remanufactured-Denso-Alternators-amp-Starters
  19. Awesome build. I may have missed it somewhere in the thread but are you planning on registering this car? By the way, I'm tremendously jealous of your hoist!
