  1. This thread contains all the info on the plugs: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/57690-need-help-4age-16v-bigport-loom-plugs/ And this is how I ran the wires in my engine bay:
  2. All I can think of is to make sure you can select all the gears, and that when you turn the input shaft the output shaft also spins in every gear.
  3. Oh your new car is a music video? That's sick, does it get good milage? Post a picture you knob.

Just realised how much dust there is on the roof... at least one years worth.

Pretty much finished, there's a few loose wires hanging in there but they are for the gauge senders that I'm still wiring up.: Gauges in: My friend and I are starting work on the exhaust tomorrow, then it's time for a test drive ;)
  6. I wanted to try that, this is what I got. I have little idea of what it actually means:
  7. OMG LIKE TOTALLY YES!
  8. Aren't you selling the KE70 anyway?
  9. My opinion on the 'modified car scene' lately: 'JDM' is lame, Illest is lame, trikes are lame, trikes with car wheels are lame, trikes on roof racks are lame, fixies on roof racks are lame, roof racks are lame, sticker bombing is lame, drift pipes are lame, hang rings are lame, rusting your panels is lame, dildo shifters are lame, 'hellaflush' is lame, 'stance' is lame, having ridiculous camber for no reason is lame, etc
  10. Here is a diagram of the KE70 headlight wiring: http://www.rollaclub...eadlight_Wiring I'd say it's easiest to go through the wiring under the steering column with a test light. Edit: or do what Reed said, as long as you don't pull too many amps it should be sweet.

    That would work!

^Yeah I thought those would work sweet, I tried them out but they sucked. I had 6 of them holding up about 2 feet of loom and they fell down, I even cleaned the surface so much beforehand that the paint started coming off the firewall and they still wouldn't stick. Maybe I just had some cheap shitty ones, they id come from Supercheap Auto after all.. I've already drilled holes for the zip-tie clips anyway.

So I went to the wreckers today and walked around for ages looking at stuff, eventually I bought a VN Commodore air filter housing like this: And I plan to buy a K&N panel filter to install in there, keeping a neat and tidy engine bay so that I don't get any trouble from the police. I'm going to follow this guide from AE86DC and install it in the engine bay of my KE70: http://www.ae86drivi...-(loads-of-pics) I was also looking at how manufacturers route the looms in their engine bays, as I'm trying to mount a section of my 4AGE loom to the firewall in the KE70. I came across these little things in the later Holdens: It's basically just a zip-tie that you can push into a pre-drilled hole, and once it's in it doesn't come out. So I grabbed about 7 or 8 of them, unfortunately I had to cut the 'tie' part of the zip-tie off but I can just feed a new zip-tie thread the head of the clip if that makes sense. I'm really happy about this for some reason?
  14. Thanks for the replies Zowie and Rob, openings towards the engine it is.
  15. Hey RC, I'm about to make an exhaust for my KE70, but I'm getting conflicting information about which way the resonator faces. The inside of my resonator has little louvres facing in one direction like so: And the other direction looks like this: I've read through a fair few threads where people say the louvres need to faces the engine so that they can trap exhaust flow and remove some of the sound, and others say that this will cause the packing inside the resonator to "burn out" and will restrict a significant amount of flow, and that the louvres need to face away from the engine. So which way is the resonator meant to be installed? Or is it up to the user as to which way it is installed?
  16. Googled it, got weirded out.

Also, this is basically the last step before the car is ready for the road/track. ʞ©$ɟ YEAH!
  18. I bought that exact same surge tank, it's a bit of a squeeze to fit it in next to the stock fuel tank (behind the panhard mount but in front of the fuel tank), I had to modify to mounting bracket on the surge tank and put a smallish dent into the stock fuel tank to make room for it. Other than that I was very happy with it :y: Edit: Just realised this is an AE86 not *E7* like mine, so what I said about fitting the surge tank might not apply.

So my exhaust components arrived the other day: - 3 meters of 2" aluminium coated exhaust pipe - Walker 2" (but inlet/outlet actually measures to be 2.25") 300 cell catalytic converter - Lukey 2" straight through glass packed muffler - Lukey 12" long 2" resonator $185 all up. I'm kind of wishing I bought an offset muffler or maybe a reverse flow muffler instead of a straight through, I hope the straight through doesn't cause an annoying drone sound. The exhaust is also going to be a press-bent, under-diff setup because it's easier and I don't have access to a mandrel bender but I do have access to a proper hydraulic pipe bender that does decent bends, can anyone suggest any cons for going under diff? Pics: Now I've got a silly question, these little louvre/mouth-looking things inside the resonator face against the direction of flow right? ie. This end faces the front of the car: And this end faces the rear of the car: Is that correct?
  20. ^You're obviously going to the wrong beaches. I was here yesterday:
  21. What the ʞ©$ɟ are you guys talking about?? :offtopic:
  22. Well done man!

    Ke70 Wagon

Yeah, sounds cool. It should be an awesome car once you get it driving. By the way, if your not using the headlights and bumper off the red car I'd likely be keen to buy the off you ;)

    Ke70 Wagon

So you took the engine from the red one and put it in the green one? That was very quick!
