  1. 4AGEs are non-interference engines, so a cam gear failing wouldn't be that bad. But if it were me, I'd probably buy some T3 cam gears, they are less than $200 I think.

    Spotted Qld

Saw a red KE26 at the Indooroopilly shopping centre.
  3. Is this place at 490 Beams Road in Zillmere? Or is that a different wrecker?
  4. ^I'm totally digging Trev's AE71. That sub box idea is great.

  6. Awesome! What brand is the adjustable strut insert and what make and model is it intended for? I bet that suspension and brake setup is worth more than the majority of cars on this site...
  7. Man those fins/spirit wheels are nice, if you ever want to sell them just holla at me ;) Everything is looking awesome! Though it doesn't look like you have much room for headers?
  8. ^Yes, I believe so.
  9. ^Why not get something that's right in the middle? Buy my mini-motard!
  10. lol, I definitely agree.
  11. Try adjusting the pushrod for the master cylinder first. That's the part that connects the clutch pedal to the master cylinder, you can adjust it (make it longer) in order to displace more fluid from the master cylinder. And also make sure you have completely bled the clutch line.

  13. Ahh you're right, I just saw the fuse box that mounts to the positive battery terminal and assumed it housed blade fuses, but they actually look like this:
  14. I believe those fuses in the circle in that diagram are normally blade type fuses.
  15. Please post heaps of photos of your KE70 on the Nemoto Sprints when you get them. I'm interested to see how these wheels look on a KE!
  16. ^amazing
  17. Yes it has to be the right one, you should be able to order one from any good auto parts store. Do not worry about what type of clutch or flywheel you have, the important factor is the type of gearbox, as the bearing is a press fit onto the bearing carrier. Just walk into Repco or Supercheap and tell them you want a throwout/thrust bearing for a (whatever model you have) Corolla with a 5 speed and they will look it up in their catalogue. But seriously, I think you would know if you forgot to put the throwout bearing in.
  18. Yes they will fit, many people put these on their Australian KE70s. I believe they are off the DX models.
  19. If your KE30 was originally auto then the tailshaft will not fit into the K-series manual gearbox. From what I've seen, auto gearboxes use different tailshafts to manuals in the K series Corollas. But otherwise it should be a direct swap.
  20. Sounds like a vacuum leak, or your throttle position sensor is not adjusted properly.
  21. I love it when people say "oh yeah I just threw a 4AGE in it", like there's nothing to it. Neat car, I really dig the Hoshinos.
  22. It would half-fire on that aerosol we were spraying in, but it wasn't "Start Ya Bastard" if I recall correctly, it was just some random flammable aerosol.
  23. Have you got your battery hooked up? Is your battery flat? If you have no power to the ignition (ignition barrel I'm assuming?) then you will have no spark. Make sure you put the earth cables back onto the engine when you put the engine in. Check the fusible links that come off the positive battery terminal.
