decoop Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 (edited) I got my self an immaculate ke30 recently, absolutely rapt with it, now i just gotta get it registered. The engine bay was plastered with grease and crap when i got it, 3 cans of degreaser later...... Edited April 1, 2008 by decoop Quote
HEKTIC Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 wow, shes a minta! nice find, even though she's a slush-o-matic but thats easily fixed! Quote
Paul Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Nice and neat for a KE30. You gonna just get the rego and enjoy it leaving it stock? Or some other plans? Quote
decoop Posted May 20, 2007 Author Report Posted May 20, 2007 I'm gunna leave it original with the exception of whitewalls venetians and a massive lowering job, then put a different engine in it of some sort. Gunna leave it auto, so it will be a nice cruiser. No idea what engine maybe a 5k if i can find one, thats about it. Quote
deri2k3 Posted May 21, 2007 Report Posted May 21, 2007 very nice man! i'd keep it original lol. Quote
decoop Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 Long time no update. Well the little 3k decided to let go quite a while ago and i was undecided as to how to re-power the rolla. Then a mate made a suggestion that he had a spare driveline lying around that we could use so away we went. And yes i know its been done before but anyway. Pics: Before: After: I will get a few more pics up today or tomorrow. Quote
67Rolla-Ken Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 :nervous: What the fcuk is that?? I like! Quote
Taz_Rx Posted March 31, 2008 Report Posted March 31, 2008 |blink| What the fcuk is that?? I like! An older design engine than what came out of it!!! :nervous: Quote
sammo[RL] Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 An older design engine than what came out of it!!! Priceless!!!!! Its a buick, eerr sorry Holden V6! One of the most rough as guts engines around. Quote
13BT_KE20 Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Priceless!!!!! Its a buick, eerr sorry Holden V6! One of the most rough as guts engines around. indeed but it will have alot more poke than the old 3K Quote
Raven Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 indeed but it will have alot more poke than the old 3K don't forget even more understeer it will have now that a boat anchor has been fitted :nervous: Quote
Kid-Ae Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 tight fit.. Though the 3K probably still has more go and is quiter than that 3800.. tappet rattle FTW. And if you havnt already, replace the harmonic balancer as they go VERY easily and it sounds like a metal cat is screaming in the engine. You do brake upgrade too? Quote
YKE 20T Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 it might not be a go cart but it should boogy in a straight line. how long did it take you to cram the commo v6 in? Quote
cuzzo Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Thats overrated. Unlucky about the commodore engine getting stuck in there though. :nervous: Not my pick but not my car is it. |blink| Nice rolla buddy. Is it a 30 or a 55? Because its a 55 dash and a 55 master cylinder. Quote

Late dash identifies its a 78-79, but I didn't know these had square master cylinders - maybe it has been swapped!? Quote
