I love my job as you get to work on alot of rare and unique cars, The 1st is a genuine lotus europa (not a kit car) which over the years has had a 3SG put into it, They didnt make this car for the larger person:

So Terry and i spent the night pulling out the box and replacing the flywheel (finally found one) and the car is a runner again which is good as its off to morgan park tomorrow.

P.S. That is the 1st flywheel that has ever let go that has been machined.

Wow. Do you know what caused it to break? Its so neat

Nope, It was very thin but it has never posed a problem before, It has been around the track and on the dyno several times, Its just something else that happens.

Nice work Trev! Never seen one go like that! Spose atleast you've still got a bell housing, even if it is a bit scored.

Yeah it went straight back in the car as there is no time to gut the box and put it in another housing, Its a TRD special gearset and lsd.

mmm broken stuff.

Compleatly off the recent topic, but it is a RANDOM thread after all.....

Lookin through my pics and found this.

it pic was taken about a year ago i think near Port Elliot, South of Adelaide.

hah, i went and had alook at this house, it was around the same time you took the photo...

Its crazy... I'm guessing its someones home???

it's near port elliot, on the victor road, it's finished now.... I couldn't believe it either....so I rang the builder and asked what happened to it.... you know what he told me? "it's supposed to look like that".... OMG! I have to go to Victor in the next week or so, I'll take a picture and post it.

It settled a bet, and cured my curiosity :bash:

Yeah it is meant to look like that. I think it was an architecture who decided to make something a little different.

Its being hovering at that stage for a while now, been waiting for it to be finished, as the end project would be something different.

Now that you say its finished Lesley . . . I should go a check it out :bash:

You should come down to noosa and check out some of the million dollar houses. Nothing but an eye sore so some of them.

I forgot to post a pic of the supra's drivers side which shows who once drove the car, I have also heard that peter brock once drove it and rolled the car.
