I have viewed a few engine conversions that have been done and are in the making but i have seen one that hasnt been mentioned here yet that my mate has done on his ke70,it is a very cheap and fairly straightforward conversion.My mate put 2.6 4g54 sigma engine and 5 speed box (which he scored for free) into his ke70.He fabricated has own engine mounts,moved the gearbox crossmember slightly rearwards,swapped the sigma slip yoke to the corolla tailshaft(sigma and corolla share the same uni joint!!)made a gearbox mount out of an old strut bar bush,exractors were custom made(possibly the dearest part of the job ,standard corolla clutch cable(with a 4kc engine)hooked straight …

Brought This car the other day, as you all know, its a 1979 Toyota T-18 TE72. Engine/Driveline 3tc Everything stock, T50 Suspension Everything stock. Well thought i might as well start a thread, bought the car from a mates brothers its got 81,000 k's on the clock and books up till 46,000 the 3k snaped and rod and the replacement 4k snaped the flexplate so now its a 4K 4 speed All i have done so far is lower it a bit :fuzz: and painted the wheels black anyway enjoy :P

hey guys got myself my first rolla i bought it a few weeks ago and its already put me through hell. its a ke38 p/van with a turbo 4afe fitted, haltech e6k ecu, fmic, shaved windows, jellybean rims, central locking with remote start and mr2 buckets. i got it cheap cause it wasnt running right apparently it needed a tune. things done so far: first thing i did when i got it home was your generaly service plugs, leads, oil the usual then to gccs got a nice alpine headunit fitted and got the central fixed cause the doors werent acctually locking. next off to the dyno where the gremlins came out. ok so after about an hour of tuning ( the tune was completely screwed…

okay lads, seeing as ive got some spare time on my hands i thought i would post up my latest project. it is a track only te72 (t-18 for those of you playing at home). its stock as a rock, body is relatively tidy with only some minor rust around the hatch seal and a bit of bog they had fallen out of the front guard from a previous repair. never mind though as i have a spare pair of front guards and a heap of other spares that came with the car. guards will get flared anyway so thats not an issue. the 3t and box are in overrated condition and are from a S2 (a few years younger). my plans are to turbo the 3t as they are a very tough motor and respond well to…

Hi guys, new to the forum although been browsing on here heaps as a guest. Mainly on here for technical stuff regarding the 4kc motor in the suzuki sierra I bought recently. Have owned many toyotas before 2 surfs, an ae82 rolla and a zze 122 rolla, current ly own the rolla engined zook and a 6 inch lifted jeep cherokee, but the sierra and 4kc are much more fun to drive and easier and cheaper to work on. Hey everyone These are just a few pics of my ke20 i have just perchased. I bought it of an old lady who has owned it since brand new ( 34 years ). It has done 76,000 original miles and has been garaged and serviced regulary its whole life. My view is to lower it quite a bit and put white wall tyres on it, while keeping the standard hub caps. Hey all. i used to have sprinters years ago... had 3 of them in fact, Got a lot of love for the toyota's but i went down the nissan path and got into drift. Currently have a pretty worked R32 4 door with RB25, 280 rwkw and a host of other goodies. here is my 1978 corolla ke36. have owned it for almost 2 years now. got it off a second owner who had not had it long. has only done 60,000km... have worked 5k with twim 40mm side draughts still waiting to be put in as i have almost finished putting it back together after a fresh paint job. only things i have done is lower it 2" all round and rims. here is a few pics before i sent it off to get re painted. will add more photos once i figure out how to get more on at once...??

ok have found how to do it. also remembered to put that now i have 25mm spacers for the back and got overrated bumpers now. front end is all together now apart from motor but have not got any pics of it and am away from home for another 5 weeks or so.

Madrolla is back on the streets of Perth :bash: Will be dynoing the car on saturday for a mild street tune (8Psi) cause thast all the clutch will hold ATM,i have ordered a Cushioned Button clutch for after i have run the engine in. don't expect any big numbers as i am only tuning AFR's for low boost and safe run in for now. broom vroom! edit: should probs give a few details its a 93 SW20 MR2 GT Targa, picked it up Wednesday afternoon. Came with, Microtech LT10s, exhaust, manifold, most annoying bov ever, pod filter, ARC I/C, new coils leads etc, tein hd flex suspension? and some HID lights. its a little rough up close, too low, cramped inside and being smaller than everyone scares me. but so much fun to drive. hopefully be at all toyota day! my brother does photography and will take more pics soon, these are from the seller (the hint is in the carsales watermark ahahaha)

This is my pride and joy at the moment...its also my first car... i have plans for it...however if they happen is till to be seen the car is basically stock with a 2.5" exhaust system and mag wheels which where both fitted by the previous owner i have fitted a stereo to the car, but that still needs some working with to get it to sound right. my plans for the car include shave off boot lock and possibly the door handles colour code the bumper lower it new wheels re do the interior i would also like to fit a 4AGZE to the car, but i think insurance wouldn't like that at the moment a complete respray is also on the table once i get some of the rust…

Then we had a job together and I picked up my mate for work everyday and walked past his rolla EVERY DAY. I could not let her just sit there, so i saved enough moola and took it off his hands. Background story: I bought this ke20 in 2006 in below average condition and have spent the last three years fixing rust, stripping the entire under body, the interior and exterior paint. The floor pan, engine bay and under body were coated in por15, while the exterior received a bare metal respray.
