ok guys ill get some pics up soon, but my uncle gave me a 1980 4 door ke 55 for chirstmas it is faded red (custom lol) has it's fair share of cancer and dents (nothing irrepareble but) everything is stock as at the moment.. i was just up for some ideas, i have a spare FWD smallport 4age that i was gonna put in it, and i just want some recommendations for waht dif i should use, and waht brakes i should use both front and rear, keep in mind this is not going to be worked jus thte stock 4age in there... so waht should i use?? i was gonna flipp the rear leaf springs, but what drum brakes can i use that will be efficent???or what else can i do for the rear?? front …

Seeing as my KE10 Khanacross Special wasn't finished we decided to use the old AE 71 that had been hanging around for spares. After about 5 hours of stripping, cleaning, fitting the race seat, extinguisher, bonnet pins, alloys and rally tyres from my old KE 70 khanacross car and locking up the diff this 1600 3 speed auto was ready for its first event. The event was out at Riverside Oaks at Catai, 6 stages with 3 attempts at each. I double entered the car with a mate and apart from breaking a rear exhaust rubber the car went surprisingly well for a stocka !

some time last year i bought an 1986 ae82 4 $650 :hmm: wen i got it the paint was old and sus so i got it resprayed (white) looks nice now, will be better 1ce i paint that blue bit black tho haha unfortunatly its a 4ac not 4age but oh well still goes good... specially with the new exaust :hmm: anyway here are some pics of the beast new exaust old exaust :D hope 2 get some new rims soon and the ones thats are in the pic are now painted black with polished lip :) oh and the lil spoiler is painted black now and i have a nice big kenwood sticker on the back window :D

Hi everyone, Just got myself a new daily as I am putting my ke30 into semi retirement, to be brought out on sundays and for a nice slow cruise every now and again. still dearly loved. Its a Ae82 1986 twin cam seca not the best pics, i'll get some more later on. Its in pretty good condition i reackon. A little bit of rust around the fuel cap and a bit on the wheel arch, nothing really bad. The interior is immaculate and it feels nice to sit in. Goes pretty good also, zippy and sits on 100kph nicely. I'm gonna do a full service this weekend and get her checked out a bit. Should be a good daily hopefully.

Still have my ke11 , I had said that I had sold it back in Nov 11 (needed the money for a new boat), but that fell through after 3 weeks, so I put it up for sale again after xmas and sold it again but wait for it that fell through as well after another 2 weeks (both deals where from interstae) well the boat is in the shed, and the mrs loves the little rolla so we said why not keep it (need some over time now ) cheers Mal

Hey all. Finally got my camera back from my old ladys so i could take some pics of my car. Its all stocko apart from the 2" exaughst, the cheepo steering wheel which all came with the car and the 2kg of bog in the rear gaurds. I have a funny feeling either an old retierd couple owned this car for 90% of its life or its been well serviced as it runs like a dream. The only thing i need for a road worthy is the front passenger seat belt. Any ways here they are

Hey guys, I'll get this hit off. Recently I just discovered that my girlfriends father has a 1979 KE50 corolla sitting in his garage, he bought it brand new back in the day for $10k. He's quite attached to it and loves it to bits as it was his first car and he still has it to this day. Picked up this 1970 model RT81 Corona on Ebay last weekend in Queanbeyan. Its a bit odd because its got the factory SL tacho dash & 120mph speedo as well as the factory sports SL steering wheel. Runs the original 1500 & 4 speed. Looking for a good dash top if anyone knows of one.

This is my pride and joy at the moment...its also my first car... i have plans for it...however if they happen is till to be seen the car is basically stock with a 2.5" exhaust system and mag wheels which where both fitted by the previous owner i have fitted a stereo to the car, but that still needs some working with to get it to sound right. my plans for the car include shave off boot lock and possibly the door handles colour code the bumper lower it new wheels re do the interior i would also like to fit a 4AGZE to the car, but i think insurance wouldn't like that at the moment a complete respray is also on the table once i get some of the rust…

Hey guys just bought a KE55 corolla :D just thought i'd join this forum to see what others have done with theirs and what i can do to mine. bought this car last week and i like it so much more than i thought haha good fun to drive but its a bit slow for my liking so I'm looking for parts/ ideas to make it go that bit better without having to do an engine conversion but i probs will end up doing that one day but for now ill stick with this motor til i have the money. just a few things about it... its done 204000k's, stock standard performance wise, lowered on 13" splats and overrated condition on the inside 4 spd manual.

Hey, I'm from North Carolina, just picked up a 1983 wagon and I'm ready to start work on it. I am a bit confused about the suspension on these cars as far as interchangeability goes. The rear is leaf spring, but is the front the same as all e70's? I'm still confused by all the chassis designations. It seems people like to run ae86 coilovers up front, what all parts do I need for this conversion? Mainly just wondering what springs/shocks I can use really for a budget setup in the front, thanks. This is my fourth rolla and hopefully not the last but instead of using it for khanacross(which i use all the others for) this one is going to be road registered so I can use it when I get my L's (in 2 yrs) The car cost me $150 it is not licenced at the moment (It was but the people kept the plates :hmm: ). the interior is imaculate :lol: no cracks in the dash, and it has not faded. The body is in very good condition on the drivers side but needs a new rear panel on the passengers side. Under the hood it has a stock 4K-C Hi-Cam motor which has a Blown head gasket. Well some of u may know me, i drive the black ke55. I have decided to buy a couple of toys lately. First i got the yellow ke71. It has a tired 4k n 5 speed. Started to pull it apart and slowley fix it all up. Then 3 weeks later this red one comes up for sale. So i decided to get this one aswell(make 1 good out of 2) Well upon closer inspection of the red one it is pretty faultless(apart from being a auto) There are only two spots of rust in the entire car(red car) where as the yellow car has got a bit of rust. i just bought me first rolla it is a 1984 ke70 slant front i payed $1200 buck and it has next to no rust and is in awsome conditon planes for the car looks wise drop on nuts , black rimz , black roof down to the top stripe , badge cut and painted silver , vents on side and door handles chrome , bumpers chrome , no tow bar no rear visor ,crome badges and grill o hot wire rims 2

Hi guys, my names nick and this is my KE55 sedan. Picked it up a few moths ago from a elderly lady. Engine has no leaks and is very solid, 4 speed is very tight along with the diff. The body has a few spots of rust which I'm reparing now. Plans for it is to repair the rust, re-spray in original colour, lower it, sports exhaust new lights etc, just to make it a tidy cruiser. Only bought it to replace my ss ute from daily duties, spent to much money on it and now it only see's weekend cruises lol. Will keep you posted as it comes together. there r 3 of us on this project, we are underway in building a 79 ke55 coupe with a 302 Cleveland, c6 auto WHICH WE ALREADY HAVE. B&M mega shifter, shortened 9", we also have a AC Cobra cam, crank, and rods. we would like a custom 2 1/2" pipes to front of diff, it has 1990 ford tx-5 front seats with custom mounts, droptank, a re trim on the doors and custom back seats to allow for a mimi tub, no system at all but a set of 19's on the front, decked out with autometer guages(speedo, tacho, fuel, volts, water temp, Trans Temp,) and 8 switches for ignition, electric fans, parkers, alt, fuel pump, indicators, hazard lights, interior light. well keep u posted with pics …
