  1. the link doesnt work
  2. i bought one lat year, its a massive big thing that came out of a ke10 race car with a 4age and its about an inch thick and is orange, it has all the red bushes and all the mounting peices, went to put it in my ke11 and it was to wide, :) it even looks bigger in lenght than a ke20 one. Will a ke20 one fit in a ke11 or is it also to wide???? cheers james
  3. just finished putting the ke20 springs with ke20 top hats in tonite, sits a little high but i havnt cut any coils yet, seems stiffer in the front now, will get some photos to morrow, the springs look so much safer than the little 8mm or so ke10 ones, and by overrated i mean in extremely good condition, there was a ke11 on these forums with a rotary 12a NA, the guy had it forsale, he also has a page on cardomain for it with videos of it driving and stuff, looks like my car but with power :) cheers james :)
  4. hi there is anyone going to the club day at baskerville on sunday???? just wondered i will be going out there in the white dato 1600 with the L16 and black wheels, gunna be fun and there is gunna be a rolla or 2 there i hear cheers james
  5. id say it was later on in the cars life than the photos u posted because the plates are CR as apposed to BA, are you going to come down to some southern club days in your new car, there is one this weekend at baskerville that i will be going in, should be fun the paint job was done last year some time because i saw the car as it was in the panel and paint process, looks preety awsome and sounds better, i like the fact that the motor sits straight up and down instead of on a slant, i think it has potential to be a very fast car cheers james
  6. i went and pulled the struts out of my ke11 today to try doing the same thing, it all came out all right but when i sat the drivers side spring next to the passangers spring the passangers one was shorter and had 6 coils instead of 7, is this right, the car seemed to sit level on the ground, i was planing to swap over to ke20 springs cut down 2" but i don't know which spring is the right height, the top hats are all goood and i am using ke20 ones but i think the bottom hat thing is to small for the ke20 springs but i might just have to be a little tight, and with ke20 top hats they allready have a small little thing on the top like on the ke11 strut tops but its shorter so do i have to cut this off first, cheers james
  7. i know the feeling because i have a 400m gravel drive to and then onto about 400m of gravel road but i don't take my car out very often so it ok cheers james
  8. it looks to me like its a ke11 but it could be one of the late 69 ke10's with the ke11 gear and what ever it is its very neat, i think those wheels could be some kind of enki wheels because my friend has the same as them on his escort MK 1 and it has the centre caps saying it and it says it on the back, any way i like it, cheers james
  9. guess what I'm doin 2morrow, so how much harder is it to do with ke20 ones, i also have ke38 ones if that makes it any easier but i don't have ke70 ones and the wreckers are closed 2 morrow cheers james
  10. it wasnt to bad, those black cefirios were pretty mean and the blue S14 was pretty insane, but i didnt c much drift from any of the others, it was just mainly spin out by every one and giant spin outs from the red celica cheers james
  11. hi those hub caps look so cool on your car, i was thinking of doing something like that on my car with mazda capella hub caps but can't find any but i just collected some 13x10 steelies with F2 slicks, keep up the good work and go the KE11's cheers james
  12. i don't use any rivets at all, but it works for me so thats all that i care about cheers james
  13. when ever i find body rust i mainly just take it all back to bear metal all around the holes, get rid of any loose bits, then file back a lot of the rust and sh#t around the edges, paint with rust kill, then get a peice of sheet metal or steel, prop it up behind the holes as best as i can and then bog up the holes, it works well for me and i havent had any problems with rust in theses spots since, but it usally only happens because stupid people never get the mud and crap out of any grooves in the wheel arches, i have never welded a peice of metal in or done anything like that, and the end result once we spray it looks like it is the standard panel, cheers james
  14. i play electric guitar and use to play BASS in a band aswell
  15. st.nick, i saw u in ur pano driving through the oyster cove stage yesterday , i was at the start line of the stage and i saw tom210 in the club man but i didnt click with me who it was until you had just taken off james
  16. hi every 1 sorry carlitos i don't know were u could get one, counc ur car looks very neat and i have the same mags as urs as burnout tyres on the back of my ke11 but they wont fit on the front because my brakes are to big cheers james
  17. go the matt black bonnet but get some one to spray your bonnet properly because i used chicken feed spray cans to do a whole ke20 and now nearly all the paints washed off in the rain :P cheers james
  18. hi roids70: i want to dump it on it arse like fayts car but i can't work out a way of doing it without resetting the transverse leaf in the front yeah we should have a hobart cruise like you launnie guys do evil twin: the boot took me about 4 hours and i just used a roll of carpet i got from a carpet shop for $6 i got a set of splits and put them in the parcell shelf and put the splitter boxes in the boot because they looked cool and i got the big toyota badge from the tip shop for 50 cents cheers james
  19. yeah i found them on a bike that my uncle gave me, they are kinda like a nut cover but they fitted on so they stayed, plus i love chrome cheers james
  20. this is my 1970 ke11 bought it about 12 months ago, when i first bought it, it was stock and had the 12" stellies and was one owner with its origional 3k motor and weak 4 speed i left it standard for about 4 months and drove it around but got sick of how slow and stock it was so first i put 13x6 mags on it heres a pic then i decided a 4kc motor and 5 speed gear box would make it go better so we fitted one and now it goes way better and i realised that the drums were a little under sized so i fitted ke38 discs on the front pics of motor it then had a respray in the origional whate and all dents were removed and in the process no rust was found at all combining teddys boot tutorial and makeing up my own bits i have fully retrimmed the boot and parcell shelf my self and fitted a cd player and new speakers pics of boot cd player in glovebox latley i have fitted a tacho and a crochaed rug of the back seat for more sleeper styling here is some pics of the rug then i aquired a set of 13x5.5 mazda rx4 stellies and did a diff conversion to a stronger ke20 one because i was up to my 3rd ke10 diff. i started with quiet ones and then they all got noisey and eventually went crunch (ke10 diffs don't like racing or motorkana's) the only problem with these diffs is the width so now i have to lip the inner gaurds pics of new wheels today i put an old RAC badge on the grill to make it look even more granny spec, i polished all the chrome again and fixed the dash using another tutorial combined with my own methods and am getting a dash mat and i got new carpet last wednesday and i got new rego plates asweel pics of plates so look out for me on tassie streets and at the next south khanacross cheers james
  21. i want a t18 now urs looks phat as the hot wires will look sick aswell with the lower ride height cheers james
  22. got my first car when i was ten (datsun sunny) then i wanted a torana, couldnt find one in the paper but saw an add for an AE71 van and a ke20-----$100 each i wanted the van and the guy said i could have the 20 aswell for $50, the guy i bought it off said the motor was fu*ked, i have used it as i for 2 years of thrashin in motorkhanas and havnt even done a thing to it, then i got another ke20 then a ke38 for $10 then another ke20 for free, then i got bit by the ke1* bug i got a ke11, then a ke10 and then another ke20 and have collected enough ke1* and 2* parts to make nother 2 cars i still have 4 ke's because i live on a large property there is about 25 cars at my place.......... not all mine though its just because corollas are so cheap and readily avalible, and look Sik
  23. i just realised that your su and air cleaner are off an MG metro turbo, was it easy to find cause we don't have them in aussie
