  3. what kind of turbo would you guys reccomend, it would need to be cheap and readily avalible and it is only goin on my standard 4k i have been looking aroung for one from an ET pulsar or exa or something like that, dihatsu charade maybe, or if anyone has one that would suit, i would be intrested in buying one cheers james

  7. ive being summing up lately what kind of conversion to do, turbo or twin side draughts, -my old man rekons that i should do the carbies because he thinks it will be less messing around and will be cheaper and easier to set up. -i think a turbo would be better because of more power, but i don't know if my old stock 4k will stand up to 6psi for long because i can't really afford to rebuild it, -can it be run reliabley on my motor without spending to much, i also have a 3k head if it would be any use. -is it easy to run this as a blow through set up using my standard asian or a datsun nikki carb -and last of all does anyone have a T2 turbo from a nissan pulsar EXA or ET, tell me what u think cheers james

  9. hi they have both borg and jap ive just modified a ke20 borg diff to go into my ke11 i got it out of one of the early 1971 ke20's, does anyone know what ration it would be cheers james
  10. hi i think putting any L motor into a rolla would be sick they are pretty good even standard, my datto 1600 has a standard L16 in it with only twin webers and a 2" zorst with extractors, it is bloody fast for a very stock motor, i hit 178kph down the back straight of symmonds plains race way, and i only have a 4 speed, the only problem with them is that they are a little bit tall, i tried dummy fitting an L18 into my ke20 but it was a little bit tall,
  11. bugger you can't choose more than one at the moment i am in circut racing, motor kanas, kanacross and show so i do a bit of every thing

  13. my mate has neons wired into his interior light so when he opens the door they come on. all you have to do is take the globes out and put the negative and positive wires on the right side. works well and looks cool.
  14. he has had it down to 1.12 i think and the only thing that the interior is missing is a back seat and some carpet but why would you have full interior in a race car any way. it would probably do better times if it had the quaif lsd that it use to cause is all its got now is a welded one. i love the flares on it and the 14" wheels. it sounds so nice coming down the straight at baskerville.
  15. got some pics of you dads old blue ke10 in its present state fayt we went out to baskervile with the present owner of the car a couple of weekends ago and the thing goes very hard for a 3k 4 speed
  16. i have gone throuh a lot of wheels on my old ke38 wagon, i had 14" ones like ae35 had ive had 15" auscars some 13" stockys datsun 240k 14" stockies ive had 13" 4 spoke drag ways and 13" globe style wheels and the best stance and ride was with the 14's like ae35 but mine had black in between the spokes and alloy on the faces, they are on my dato 1600 now

  18. i put gemini sle velour seats into my ke20, got them for free. i just used ke20 runners and drilled new holdes in the base of the seat and bolted them in, they were pretty comfy but only had about 15 cm in between each seat and what ever i did they sat to far foward. but might look around for some ta22-23 seats to put into my ke11 cause the ke11 ones have to headrests and no neck support.
  19. i would if i could get them cheap enough but no body in tas has1 for sale so the only way i can get 1 is from just jap and they want like $1050 so its a bit cheaper than what the 5k costs and even a new set of 4k extractors cost's more than what i paid for my 4a and 5 speed but i will keep lookin
  20. ok i was thinking of upgraging to a ke20 welded diff because the ke10 ones seem to be as weak as piss do these motors have much power and will my down draught weber and adaptor plate from the 4k fit in it or do i need a different adaptor plate cause the caby on this motor seems to be an asian unit like the standard ke20 one i had on it before
  21. hi every one just got a very cheap 4a motor and 5 speed box yesterday how hard is it to fit one of these into my ke11 has anyone done this conversion or the 4age one into a ke11 what mounts and gearbox cross member would i use will ke38 brakes handle the upgrade and is it much of a performace upgrade from my 4k 5 speed which is pretty standard to cheers james
  22. yeah smaller chokes should fix it cause like yours it doesnt have much under 2000 and then it just goes like a rocket, i took it to the local tassie race track yesterday for a run, the tyres are shit for racing so i will have to get some sticky ones, but it pulls up the hill bloody well, the old owner did a 1.19 as her best, i got it down to 1.16 with shit tyres, so it should go a bit better
  23. fuk knows but i flies and it is only the standard L16 with stock 4 speed, heavy duty clutch, twin 42 weberson a datrally manifold, extractors and 2 inch, electonic ignition andand it has some nice big 240k struts with hilux discs and volvo 4 spot calipers to pull it up, i am takin it to the track this weekend for a good thrashin.
  24. how much were you thinking of selling them for, ive got twin 42mm webers on my datto 1600 which has a pretty much stock internalled engine with lots of bolt ons it runs fine but doesnt like going into the low revs caouse it kinda chokes up or taking of it just bogs down and has hardly any torque
  25. if falken_ke30 doesent end up buying the car i may be intrested in the 5k motor because i can't seem to find one anywere in tassie so if anyone has a 5k for sale please tell me cheers james
