  1. there does exist a bellhousing to go from late model (ae71/ae86) t50 to 4age, so if 4age and 4ac have the bolt pattern, then look for that and you can't use that bellhousing on an early model (ta22/te27) t50 gearbox
  2. nah, just guys with enough sense to express our emotions without sounding like big blubbering queer-eye metrosexual faggots
  3. i'll pay that :y: y:
  4. replace sugar for coffee with salt get a windup mouse and place the cord under your foot. stand behind boss and say "hey whats this under the" and lift your foot, laugh as your boss screams the most blood curdling scream you've ever heard and jumps onto the desk sneak in front of desk and pop up and yell scary things
  5. here's the pimp part what a slut. wonder if she'd be interested in meeting up... :y:
  6. i think he mistook my repco piston comment as "your engine is a cheap rebuild piece of shit", instead of "your engine may have a common design fault seen in several corollas of the same era", which is what i really meant
  7. i shrunk it down to a third of the size and it's 112kb :y: nice little sedan dude =)
  8. why am i wasting hundreds of dollars on chrome grille and bar and mirrors when all i need to do is buy a 4 dollar roll of alfoil? *smacks forehead* nice to see rod's old mdf bodykit gets a mention too :y:
  9. so, when is rob free and we'll try work around that? =) fook might even hump your leg by the look of that last post :y:

  12. sometime in the mid 70s, toyota stopped importing corollas from japan, and started assembling them locally, using local parts. this is why ke55s and ke70s in australia have australian borg warner diffs, but the rest of the world retained the japanese-style front loader diff aus-assembled 4k engines are usually equipped with pistons manufactured by repco, branded both "toyota" and "repco" on the underside of the piston, and when one of these engines dies of natural causes, it's usually because the crown of the piston is separating from the skirt. and it sounds like an intermittent loud tick or alot of loud ticking if you have more than one cracked piston
  13. but it's worth the trouble ;)
  14. no
  15. it could be anything from tappet rattle to a cracked piston, which happens quite commonly in 4ks with repco pistons (which yours probably is) it's a bit hard to diagnose "a ticking" over the internet, i'd suggest seeing a mechanic
  16. you'd just buy a wrecker motor with good compression. unless you were going all out totally working a K engine like i did, there's no point in going to the expense of rebuilding it
  17. dot slicks, superphat ;) where do you race? how do you go compared to other stuff?
  18. that just means your wheels are 13x7 :y: can't wait to see it with flares, it'll look tough as a motherf@$ker ;) what brand and model of tyres are you running?
  19. i just have to say, the name "meat axe" totally cracks me up ;) sorry for the off topic, carry on...
  20. What's so funny? Anyway, let's talk about something else...
  21. f@$kIN JESUS look at that sill! f@$kING JESUS CHRIST look at the wheelstand!!!
  22. yeah i was at work driving when i heard that too, they did a little tribute to him on the radio. i was so sad ;) then i thought "live long and prosper" and i thought "hey, he did" so it wasn't so bad
  23. i have an echlin gx80 "performance" coil, it's served me well, nice fat blue sparks. stewart runs these with jaycar HEI and pulls about 8 amps thru them, even with that punishment, they usually last a couple of years before they die surprisingly, i found a cheap efiparts.com coil was more powerful than my echlin, and about 10 or 20 dollars cheaper. i was getting all these thru aussie auto stores (there's one of them at the turnoff to shailer park, the hyperdome or whatever it's called) if i was going to upgrade, i'd go to an electronic ignition coil (not a cylinder thing, kindof like a little block), or just bite the bullet and get a full MSD setup
  24. THOSE WHEELS LOOK PHAT!!! ;) nice tidy detailed engine bay too, your little car is sweet dude :y: :(
