  4. i am pretty sure you could. i've seen highway patrol feds circle an accord for a good solid 10 minutes before they asked the owner to pop the bonnet. i reckon they couldn't figure out if it was front engine or rear engine, and that the bonnet was hinged at the front

  12. thin oil makes your engine noisy as a bastard. if you have a standard engine, run straight weight 30 or 50 or 60, pennzoil older engine oil is good

  16. plate at the back of the head just means it's a smallport, it's probably a stock 4k head, being on a 4k bottom end. what's the casting number? between the last two spark plugs i think. we've figured out what some of them are

  20. you can adjust the box down down so the steering is tighter, but it will also be heavier and less inclined to snap back to straight once you let go of the wheel. i did mine right down one day and the steering was so direct, it was awesome, but if you let go of the wheel coming out a turn it just kept going round. you can sometimes solve this problem by running more castor. you'll need a wheel alignment for that unfortunately, these cars are getting old, and the steering box just wears out. every corolla i've owned has been a trade-off between light steering and a bit of play that gets worse at high speed. you can get another steering box from the wreckers which may or may not be better than yours. i've only ever found one person who'll rebuild a steering box and they wanted like 400 bucks for it if you find someone, let us all know

  23. even an engine with worn glazed bores will pull about 100psi blown manifold gasket maybe?
