  1. Ok boys and girls. Befor we organise dates etc, I want to know exactly what you guys want to do!!! I have added a poll to Casey initial post for this, please have you say and complete the poll. Just to explain the poll a little more........ Do you want to have a north/south meet up in a central location like Ross. We can have a group BBQ, and just hang around Ross and chat, look at each others cars etc. Basically just the same as the old Launy rollaclub meets, but obviously the whole state, not just 1 city. OR.... Do you want meet up somewhere central, have a quick chat/food/piss and hit the road again for a group cruise!? If people are interested in doing this, then I already have a nice route planned. It involves some driving over the lakes/poatina roads, is the same distance for both northerners, southerners, and even the coast (W) boys!!! Pending interest I will release more details on the route.
  2. :jamie: OMG you know everything don't you mate!!! Please read this re: fuel setup.........ps, I used full stops too!!! :hmm: http://www.rollaclub.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17418
  3. You little smart arse!!! :jamie: Well to be technical, you could say its 8.5 toyotas and 0.5 of a Daihatsu!!! :hmm:
  4. That would have been Daim and Josh. One white, and one black and white? Spot the TOYOTA...............How many can you pick!!??
  5. Oh, and as another option.....could you possible call the guys at the wreckers were the EFi came from and see what they might want for a 7ke dizzy!? They have more than 2 wires, so the extra would be a 5v power, which could vastly help!!! :)
  6. That Murphey prick!!!!! :) If I'm still having major pulse issues after installing the reduction, then I think I might just have to build a CAS. :y: Don't really see any point in going back to coil negative now, just for the sake of getting it running. Might as well just do it properly, can then run sequential injection, and also ready to go for 4x coil packs. :KY: Too busy at work + not well at the moment = Can't be bothered getting frustrated with the car!! :D
  7. Are you still using the coil negative trigger for the ECU though!? Ie, reluctor sensor is only giving a pulse to the Crane box?
  8. I might have a hunt through the parts room and find some stuff to offload.....won't be a whole stalls worth though. Can I just chuck some shite in with your lot?
  9. 250rpm isn't fast enough to give a steady pulse Cam. It's not too bad above 500rpm. having 12.6v has just been a band aid solution really. Just waiting to see if I can't get a better price than $250 for a new one. :)
  10. Nice work guys! :y: Is that a TDO4? :KY: Sorta looks like one from the front, but they don't have square inlet flanges! Some sort of adapter!? Melting dizzy hey, :D that sounds familiar!! :)
  11. haha no worries. Ya just need to learn how to pre-load your drive drain a bit for drag racing by slipping the clutch a bit - Hand brake comes in very handy here too. Your clutch won't like you for it much, but the rest of the drive train will love you!! :y: ......in a turbo car this also means on boost launches, as its already loaded up! :)
  12. Found one at Ashdowns Ingram today, they're listed as being for 4k-J and 5k-J. Their part number was RXS412 IIRC. :(
  13. Nice effort!!!!! :n: Never seen a clutch let go quite that bad!!! I can give you a recomendation on what not to buy!!! I had a 20+ year old stock toyota clutch that used to hold 3rd gear burn outs. Replaced that with an RPM heavy duty, which would slip seccond trying to cook them up!!! So don't buy an RPM, they're shit! :( I'm about to fit an extreme (brand) heavy duty to *DIRT* (look in sig), which I bought off Madrolla68. He had it behind his turbo 5k and it only starter to slip on 17+psi!! Can't go past an Exedy either, but they're a little more expensive. :) Get in contact with GSR rallysport in the commercial traders section. He can get you a couple of different band clutches at very good prices....and you're supporting a business that supports rollaclub! :lolcry:
  14. Umm... you cleaned the head a block with a steel brush! :) When ever you take a head off any motor you should always get it planed back a little so its all straight again. Alloy heads will warp if you get a bit of heat into them. Block aren't normally as bad as most are cast iron, but can still happen. Any machinist workshop can do this for you, cost me AUD$44, so would be about USD$37-38. Its just not worth not planed the head if you've blown a head gasket. I did it ONCE and blew another one a week later. :( Never again. :n:
  15. How the hell did you manage to snap a uni with a car that runs high 18's!!!!! No offence or anything dude I've run 15's on all stock K running gear with on boost launches, and have never broken anything on a launch. Only a axle or too at the end of a burnout when it grips on the VHT.
  16. No times sorry. Wasn't slow though. Had a decent cage and stuff in it. :(
  17. Just too damn busy at work lately to get any work done mate. I really can't be bother working on cars by the time I get home from 10-14 hours work for the day!!! :( I'm getting a pulse, but very intimatantly. Using a $600 Odyssey battery, and if it drops below 12.6v off crank then the pulse just dissapears. I'm waiting to try and get one of those reduction gear starter motors, so I can turn it over quicker with whatever voltage, but I'm having trouble trying to find a new one. A mate tried to order one from Ashdowns yesterday for me, but they couldn't find any listing of what its off. Ithought it was from a KM20 5k, but I may need to do some more research I think! :) I think the problem with the cable me be that my flat mate installed the Wolf programs for me from one zip folder, but didn't do anything with the other zip folder, which I guessing may have had some drivers or something in it!?
  18. goo, goop, gasket bog, silicon,....all the same stuff. :) Pretty much all head gaskets have a form of goop (as I call it) "built into them", so its not necessary to any more from a tube. As they get hot for the first time, the seal themselves up. Only thing I have ever put on a head gasket aswell was a spray of "copper gasket" areasol spray for one of my turbo motors. Porr mans copper gasket!! :( Did you get the head planed flat again when you took it off?
  19. Does it have a ke55 square brake master cylinder, or the long skinner ke30 one? This is the ke30 one that will allow twin webers.... and this is the square ke55 one.....
  20. All of the wiring for the 1J ecu, is non-existant in the 55, so you might aswell just start a fresh with an aftermarket ECU with a new wiring loom. Leave all of the 55 as it is, and all you really need to take from it is a power here or there, and a ON ignition source as a relay trigger!
  21. How did I knwo you'd have to say something about that!! that was just a bit of an experiment on the front guards. This one is all fixed now. :D
  22. hahaha GOLD. Is there some way we can make it compulsary viewing for new members!!?? :D
  23. Are you the AR.com mod Saru!? Haven't been on there for ages,...too busy lurking here lately!
  24. Trying to save that paddock for car soccer!!!! :D  Like I said in the first post, if there's not enough interest...or legal issues, it'll still happen....just as a group of mates rather than a rollaclub event. :hmm:
  25. I pretty much now decided on names for the rollas!!!.... ......TAR, DIRT, and MUD , most should already be able to work out which is which. Got frustrated with the ECU in Tar the other day so started doing this....... Yummy!!!
